07/9/2009 12:15 | Friend of mine rang me and said that he bought 26k at 38p at 11.35 ish!! could not get them any cheaper.Agree with you Cammy3. | stoaty1
07/9/2009 12:05 | still sell 17k for 31.5p......just tried a dummy sell in my SIPP. | deanroberthunt
07/9/2009 11:24 | I'm holding too stoaty but there has to be sellers like Bodgit following a near 60% rise over past fortnight. | cammy3
07/9/2009 10:32 | Fully understand, but i am leaning towards holdind these long term . | stoaty1
07/9/2009 10:08 | stoaty1, as a long term holder, Taylor Wimpey have not done me well. I need 80p ish there to break even. Hmmmm, in for the long haul methinks. ZOO on the other hand are now getting close to my overall break even on my core holding. I intend to hang on to those for a lot longer yet. I also have a modest level of trading stock in ZOO and it is these I am umming and arring (spellings?!)about. Very illiquid stock and of course a big gamble to hold these through the trading statement while I am away on holiday. Its tempting to sell now and lock in c. 60% profit in just over a month. Hey ho. Its all a game after all. Good luck all. | bodgit
07/9/2009 09:54 | Remember , Taylor wimpy were a penny odd and barclays 50p only 6 months ago!!!!If the news and outlook are good , this could do very well | stoaty1
07/9/2009 09:49 | I really would not! We are so near the update. | stoaty1
07/9/2009 09:45 | Now quoted 33.5p to sell 10K. Hmmm, decisions, decisions! | bodgit
07/9/2009 09:29 | stoaty1, not yet.... | bodgit
07/9/2009 09:25 | Look at that up it goes drop the bid in order to try and shake some. Can not buy any but on a 30p bid you can sell size at just under 33p bid. | love it
07/9/2009 09:25 | they can have half of mine at £1. | deanroberthunt
07/9/2009 09:09 | Did you sell Bodgit? | stoaty1
07/9/2009 09:04 | gm all. Was just quoted online 30p to sell 10K of ZOO. Someone wants them. I hope the news is good next week. Good luck all. | bodgit
06/9/2009 17:57 | this statement from zoo more or less tells us what at least to anticipate: Revenues are now almost all denominated in US dollars and trading in the current year has started well, with turnover improved over the same period in the previous year and profits significantly higher when compared on a fixed currency basis. We look forward to a successful outcome for the year as a whole and providing a further update to the market at the time of our AGM on 16 September 2009. | jacobjohn7
06/9/2009 17:47 | Thanks sewil, that covers the bases that I think should be covered. You was touting your estimate for profit a while back, I was interested where you were allocating these revenues to, I am not trying to make your statement seem like ramping, you know me, chop me in half and I have zoo written through me, so want some confirmation of my own thoughts with regard to profits and growth. As to how much R&D was in the other year, and how much this year will make a difference, but as Stuart Green said the down side to reporting first profit is loosing the R&D advantages immediately. Growth certainly looks good, but as to how much they have made further inroads into other Disney group companies/other studioa with their product portfolio is a guess at this stage. The take on of additional staff does bode well, for increased activity, the aquisition of scope will be more firmly embedded within working practices, with no additional overheads to bring this into line, so that should be operating more keenly also. Personally, I dont think there is anything to be scared of in the results, (for the first time in zoo history) its more a case of will I be happy or ecstatic. | jacobjohn7
06/9/2009 10:15 | What we do know about zoo is that they have the best, at present ,packages for their market. They are also recuiting a significant no. of staff in relation to how many they employ. There are 3 potential reasons for this. 1 they have lost staff and need to replace them , i doubt this. 2 Tunover is increasing significantly. 3 They anticipate 2. I expect it is a combination of 2 and 3. We must also assume that many design costs are in last fy, and although some costs will increase with rising t/o , profit will increase at a far faster rate. With a market cap of £6 million, taking all the above into account, there is a huge potential for the share price to grow. I do not think i am being too bullish!! | stoaty1
06/9/2009 08:24 | jacobjohn....In a matter of days the company will publish a trading statement at their AGM. The recent rise from 5p to 28p has been on the back of approx £100k actual buying/holding on a £6m stock, the rest was trading with people in and out, thats absolutely minescule positive volume. Even if the AGM trading statement says progress but then says a substantial first halve loss due to the recent £currency bounce, then it is possible that the share price will more than halve+ as recent traders dabbling £2-£10k will attempt to exit. This one is so illiquid it can not stand much selling and will become as difficult to unload even a handful of stock as it currently is to buy. Personally I have a figure that I think the company will achieve, but this is not a widows and orphans stock (although ever since the Banks collapsed, thats been a pretty much irrelevant phrase) If anyone is nervous of the AGM statement, they should not wait for its publication but should sell their recent purchases and realise what is for most at least a 50% profit, at least it will be for the first to sell. Those that are more than just trading momentum on a minnow, its important they actually look at the company, results, statements and decide if the company is actually making progress, what is the speed of that progress, that it is more than just a currency play, that it can make profits with a split cost base, that it will show a profit in the first half, that it will make a profit on the full year, that it wont be wiped out if the $ falls and £ bounces, what is the future direction of the £ etc etc etc. No advice intended and just personal opinions. Personally I like this one but I could be 100% wrong and its heading for disaster. Its had just a single positive profit result, until it confirms that trend at next result and probably a couple more results after that its simply speculation and a speculative stock. Jacobjohn...Is that real enough for you ? | siwel100
05/9/2009 17:20 | the story is compelling, but as the company have a strategy of doing, we should underplay and then over achieve when it comes to hyping this one, the share price will get to where it deserves naturally, but it has been noted to me by a couple of long termers, that Sewil is over egging this a tad, it may be down to his enthusiasm... (and it is warranted, as the story is good, dont get me wrong) but I would advise to exercise a bit more reserve, and not aid an over hyped spike, the results should be good, and showing a profit, as to how much, I have asked Sewil a number of times to put some tangible ideas behind the kind of numbers he has been touting. I wish to keep this real, and acheive an organic growth, which will be sustainable on results/story ongoing. | jacobjohn7
05/9/2009 16:36 | 8-12P, nice one Dean, I managed 17p, so not quite doubled yet, before this recent hike tried to get small vols inside spread at between 0.2 to 0.5p inside but they weren't having any of it. Regards | owenski
05/9/2009 10:56 | Am I right in saying that its just the bid thats gone up, the offers still the same, the spread has got silly, I don't feel like adding under these circumstances. Anybody got an explanation for poor old me. Ta | owenski
05/9/2009 10:13 | stoaty1, if I were at home, I would. I expect at 7.15 a.m. I will still be recovering from the night before and contemplating breakfast (Fruhstuck as I will be cycling in Germany) but should I happen upon an internet cafe.... I get a feeling in my bones that I wont be disappointed. Cheers. | bodgit
05/9/2009 08:26 | Bodgit, i bet you look at 7.15 on the 16th !!!! | stoaty1
04/9/2009 23:09 | jacobjohn7 ... biscuits go well with coffee.... I'm off. Good weekend all. I have a feeling that while on holiday I will not be able to resist finding an internet cafe on the 17th to see what ZOO did the day before! | bodgit
