05/10/2009 09:56 | mudslug...Actually you almost made a valid point. Will downloading be the death of ZOO ? Oddly enough its not downloading that is worrying the film Studios but simple old fashioned piracy. Downloading of a film is currently nothing more than an irritant, broadband speeds are just too slow. The eventual migration to Blueray will just compound the problem for downloaders with the huge file sizes meaning a 15-20 hour download for even the very fastest connections. But film piracy has had a huge impact on the Studios and has been extremely beneficial to ZOO. You just have to wander into any shop and you will see the price points for DVD's have collapsed. £9.95 for a new release, £5 for recent releases and bargain buckets full of old films for £3. All to compete with the pirated copies you can buy for a few quid almost anywhere. All this has put huge pressure on the Studios who are attempting to protect the multi $Billion DVD revenue stream. For nearly every film release its the DVD income that covers costs and generates the profit, not cinema ticket sales.. The pressure on price points has meant that the Studios have embraced ZOO for its ability to improve speed to market and to cut their production costs and stabilise margin. The reduced price points have actually meant larger volume DVD sales which results in an increased income for ZOO as their offering is based upon unit production. In many ways ZOO wouldnt be undergoing the transformation it is if it wasnt for the threat to DVD. Fortunately ZOO products are digital media neutral, so although the DVD issue is getting them into the Studio's, they will still have a very secure and increasingly profitable place there when DVD'S are replaced by Blueray and eventually streaming (If the studio's ever truly contemplate that route given the DMR issues) | siwel100
04/10/2009 17:17 | Mudslug. Judging from your comments you have absolutely no idea what Zoo Digital does. You talk drivel. What your game plan is I don't know and don't care. The only inteligent thing you can do is make the word zoo rhyme with poo. Something my 2 year old daughter can do. Go back to under the stone you crawled out from before making more of a fool of yourself. | cosh285
03/10/2009 18:11 | lol! Siwel the ramp machine in full flow here but where is he now ?? He's set you all up and sold you a puppy (dog) here. siwel100 - 22 Jul'09 - 15:17 - 9631 of 9633 mm's pushing buying onto the telephone, they just dont want any buyers. Bodes well for the initial runup. Don't you mean the 'initial pump' rather than the initial runup?? Have you checked the accounts old lewis you p n d merchant. Not healthy are they?? Old technology this... Betamax...? ? ? Why you been pumping this one lewis you naughty naughty boy? Shocking. | mudslug
03/10/2009 18:05 | To be fair i think the stupid one is the chap that tried to deramp another stock and was traced back to this piece of poo which he seems to have ramped and pushed onto the unsuspecting. Like i say, ZOO is using near obsolete technology and those investing need to be made fully aware of this fact. Is ZOO worthless? I do believe so, probably just a case of how long the management can 'feed' the city with jam ( tomorrow ). Perhaps ZOO should change their ticker and name, say BMX (BETAMAX). | mudslug
03/10/2009 16:08 | Mudslug, if you care to read back through the 6190 posts you will see that this has been debated many times. If you are going to make comments on here do some research first otherwise you might appear stupid. Regards UK | uknighted

30/9/2009 14:27 | Modest buying to day. Was that you rutty? Because I know you are after my shares. This could explode upwards very soon! | cosh285
29/9/2009 21:51 | Yeah pump and dump from 5 years ago, fed up with this making my portfolio look untidy. Rose just high enough for me to sell up at minimum trade value. Thanks MM. Sorry for those sucked in, you could be here for a long time. | dballantyne
29/9/2009 14:49 | doubt i'd be given these, just bored liked siwel so thought i'd look for an illiquid dog and ZOO sprang to mind. Don't buy stocks with 20% spreads as these types are for penny punter dreamers. ZOO just listed to pay wages for staff as already pointed out here. Prob promise a product launch shortly to coincide with another heavily discounted rights issue. | rutty74
29/9/2009 13:55 | Rutty...as a realist, I concur that it is indeed illiquid, there's no disputing that.....thats why its imperative to buy when sellers are about and sell when the opposite is the case....if you try and sell or buy into the same volume you'll get pinged both ways.... | deanroberthunt
29/9/2009 12:55 | Not so Rutty. You can't buy anything for under 30p but you can sell at over the mid price. This share could rocket at any moment. You want these shares and you can't get them. That is the true story. | cosh285
29/9/2009 12:49 | this is one hell of an illiquid dog though you boys must agree with that. This'll be panned in any Oct sell off. | rutty74
29/9/2009 12:46 | Thanks for your comments Sewil. Can't be bothered to comment myself very often but always read your comments with interest. | cosh285
29/9/2009 12:20 | cosh285....Rutty74 doesnt want any Zoo shares, he is just a wee bit miffed that someone disagrees with him about another stock. Posting here is the only way he knows to answer. Baby, pram and toys springs to mind :) | siwel100
29/9/2009 12:06 | Then what is your interest in waisting time making comments on this bb. Is that not a bit weird? You want these shares and you want them badly. Is that not the real reason you have an interest in this stock! | cosh285
29/9/2009 11:55 | lol, no interest and certainly wouldn't be buying this cack. Don't do MM christmas funds!! (20% spread). | rutty74
29/9/2009 11:52 | Don't believe a word that rutty74 says, he wants your shares. Talk of fund raising and a nasty looking chart is all hot air. I repeat he wants your shares as he knows there going to go up. | cosh285
29/9/2009 10:56 | If it doesn't bounce from here then h&s formed which means 16p area, chart looks nasty and the marketmakers will be fully aware of many trapped into this illiquid one. | rutty74 |
