hey have the option to buy back the 50% funder split at a DISCOUNT if the funder wants to sell their share post drill

There is no issuance of Zephyr's equity or any form of debt as part of the funding, and the wellbore investor will not receive any further interest or option in the Paradox project. In addition, Zephyr has retained a right of first refusal to repurchase the working interest at a discount to fair market value in the event that the wellbore investor chooses to sell its 50% non-operated working-interest in the future.

Yes at last a positive update, I think the delay was probably due to the investor wanting a higher percentage than the company wanted to give. So they agreed on 50% including a further $500,000 for contingencies !!! This now enables the company to start planning other existing wells and new wells on the Paradox. Providing the 36R well goes ok then the first 6 months of the new year should see the shares racing ahead. GLA

Well done CH & the Team, not easy securing that funding at any time, let alone the week before Xmas. Early Jan to start the lateral too. Excellent stuff.

Big rise to come from here on in

50% of a gusher is better than 100% of nothing. This sets a solid footing for ZPHR on the paradox & can only lead to further industry interest / farm in's etc. Bear in mind, the investor MUST be super confident of success, OR they just lost $7.5m

I can nice rise's over the next few days / weeks / months.

Great update with a confident investor financing the next phase of the project, this should be an exciting low risk phase for shareholders with hopefully a very positive and proven outcome.

Was giving away 50% of the well in the ballpark of what people were expecting? Personally, I am rather surprised it was that much, and I wonder if ZPHR was had over a barrel, so to speak.

It's nailed on this week unless its not. Why do you care anyway as you think the funding is 100% anyway?

Common sense tells us that the news won't be next week, so I guess it must be this week.

Malcy's Bucket List 2024 has a huge hole in it! Love the last sentence - 'big returner', my _____ fill in the blank.

Zephyr Energy
Zephyr are returning to their flagship project at the Paradox Basin where the previous attempt to drill ended in tears after an encounter with too much in the way of hydrocarbons. The drilling rig is preparing to drill the State 36-R well and which is mostly funded by the insurance on the last drill. With immense knowledge of the rocks one hopes that this barn burner will be tamed this time and expect the redrill to deliver the goods. Zephyr have used the canny purchase of the Williston Basin assets to provide cash flow and also have an interest in the Salt Wash Helium project which whilst not considered to be top of the list of assets are considered to have ‘significant and unrecognised potential’. All in all this should be a big returner from one of the best teams in the sector.

Looking at the chart in the top right of the header is a salutory reminder of what an opportunity cost there is hanging onto stocks in a downtrend, when there is so much more money to be made in stocks with positive momentum.

I have long been fascinated by the ZPHR story and have traded in and out over the past few years. But, I think I have finally kicked the habit and am trying to stick to stocks with upward sloping moving averages. Perhaps ZPHR will be such a stock one day. If so, there is always the chance to buy back in.

"stated as an unequivocal fact in the last RNS."

What utter tosh as usual from you Assagai. What they actually wrote is

"We fully anticipate signing the binding documentation ... later this month"

Which has plenty of wiggle room to slip.

But these small companies never spill "blood on the carpet" - I know examples where it does not matter how much money they lose or deadlines missed , nothing changes...

Well, the detail of the LOI will be known this month and that has been stated as an unequivocal fact in the last RNS. Now if that doesn't happen....well you will have a perfect right to demand blood on the carpet.

I find it hard to believe anything they say any more, take everything with a pinch of salt jackthcat1 until it is fact. Not so long ago I would never have thought they would let the share price fall below 4p let alone 3p. This is one of the worst shares of 2024 and yet the hyped it up with their false promises of actually selling oil and producing some income. The speed of the CPR was just another empty promise, a sound byte to fill in a blank.

I know we are waiting for various things to kick off. But from memory on this board, we haven't mentioned the timings for the updated CPR after the last drill??. Surely that in itself would aid the share price short term. How long can it take for that to be sorted out??.

From the 6th September RNS : With the new data generated from the second test and that from the Company's other Paradox wells, Zephyr will move as quickly as possible to produce an updated Competent Persons Report.

"Quickly as Possible"............ 3 months and counting Colin......
