Looks like ZPHR is seen as a bargain at these prices.

Good, at last CH is driving the sp, more updates on the way. Come on Zephyr, up and over 5p before results please.

Zephyr Energy
@ZephyrEnergyPlc

Further to our recent update, completion operations on the State 36-2 LNW-CC-R well are underway. #ZPHR - in conjunction with our service provider Halliburton - plans to perforate the well across 16 stages of the productive portion of the Cane Creek reservoir...(1/2)

We look forward to providing additional updates as the operation progresses. (2/2)

jackthecat1,

"and the fact that HB are happy dealing with a small outfit like ZPHR,"

Zephyr are paying them money. That's how these things work in life - you pay money and firms do what you ask them. Nothing more complicated than that!

FWIW, this week alone I have partnered with Lloyds Bank, Microsoft, Nvidia, Dell, Barclays and Sainsbury's to name just a few of the money-spinning opportunities that I have created!

and the fact that HB are happy dealing with a small outfit like ZPHR, shoes how well ZPHR & CH are tohught of, and not least HB will be part of many more drills going forward in the PD and with ZPHR.

SLowly slowly gents, lets get it spot on.

For me this is the most important & crutial part of the RNS for shareholders and indeed potential suitors for ZPHR. Halliburton are world leaders in O & G, and we are working with them. This will be huge for ZPHR re the drill results & overall proving up of the PD basin.

Thanks for that link Tima441.
Very interesting indeed.
More or less sums up most of the pertinent points on everyone's mind.
The potential here is for a sudden surge after the 36-2 result.

The share price right now reflects those concerned that there "might" just be another issue with the well but those who actually listen and have evaluated the potential should this produce "the figures Colin specifically mentions" are in for a very profitable future with ZPHR.

I liked the way he answered the different routes the company might take and a very genuine (imo) reminder of consideration of shareholders.

Ignore the share price now (still a handful of T traders; no harm in that as I have had a few with ZPHR) and soon 3p will look ridiculously cheap when you also consider we have been at 7p+ without being anywhere near where we are now.

Hold or Buy.

The news we were all anticipating..fantastic...not long now...

Zephyr Energy plc

("Zephyr" or the "Company")

Drilling operations concluded safely and successfully

Zephyr Energy plc (AIM: ZPHR) (OTCQB: ZPHRF) is pleased to confirm that drilling operations at the State 36-2 LNW-CC-R well ("the well") have been completed safely and successfully, with the well drilled to a total depth of 15,288 feet (measured depth).

The well trajectory of the extended lateral section (the "lateral") was drilled as planned and correlated well with the existing 3D seismic data. 97% of the lateral was drilled within the Cane Creek reservoir section demonstrating the ability to accurately steer within the reservoir across a structurally complex play. Encouragingly, elevated mud gas levels with notable peaks were evident throughout the drilling of the Cane Creek reservoir.

Zephyr's operations team is now preparing to run casing across the drilled section after which the Nabors rig will be demobilised from the site. Zephyr will then mobilise equipment for the completion and production testing of the reservoir zone.

Results from the production test on the well are expected to be announced by the end of March 2025.

The ZPHR assets in the Williston prob don't cover the debt but worse they are borrowing against them at 10%+ interest rates and these types of assets are mature and only pay very high returns at very high oil and gas prices. Nat gas prices in they US are low. ZPHR has some hedges but I doubt very much they are covering the debt taken out against them.

It's fairly easy to paint a good story about them based on what they cost and what you get initially in cashflow but they require huge maint capex and they decline very fast. It's a real treadmill of a business ;model.

This is why Lucero is valued at such low multiples.

Paradox is an idea. I have to admit they've done a good job in getting someone to bank roll them on the lateral. I suspect the terms are much worse than they appear but we'll not every know that until it's too late. If it flows *and* they can expand the development it might be worth something. It's blue sky explo at best though and I don't see any reason why it justifies the £60m market cap. The risk of this failing after the last 3 attempts is pretty high and then you have £60m of hot air in the market cap.

" Net revenues from the well will be split 50:50 between Zephyr and the wellbore investor from the time of first production, with no catch-up period or other preferential rights to the investor."

I guess it depends on how you define "net revenue" as to how 50/50 it really is.

Suppose you produce $10,000 of oil in a day and to produce that there are costs of $4000 (these might be direct operating costs but also could include all sorts of other costs like insurance, etc.).

One interpretation is that net revenue is $6,000 which is split 50:50 and so ZPHR get $3000 and the investor gets $3000.

Now suppose you only count $1000 of costs, taxes etc. (but ZPHR really has to pay the other $2000). Now the investor gets $9000/2 = $4500 and ZPHR gets $4500 but has to take off the other $2000 so is getting in effect $2500 much less.

I will be accused of grasping at straws and maybe I am. As I said I have no position here now.
