Not even a tweet by the company either, which I expected after the rns came out.

Perhaps they are waiting for the Canadian market to open, although I doubt it.

guns last tr1 said they still had 5.1m shares. They have been selling down their pires investment according to their announcement today.

True Cpap, I have seen that before, where nothing much happens share price wise and then a bit of coverage and up it goes.

pug, yeh they could have worded it differently, as the use of the word fluid, simply creates a slight uncertainty as to how much is actually oil. We will need to wait a few weeks to establish this.

Onto m45 and the next workover target I would expect.

sea7: Good points - Joint brokers seem to be asleep at the wheel also reference in the announcements to fluid raises (imo) significant doubts as to future level of oil recoveries - A most unfortunate choice of words (or deliberate as thought they had to say something) BUT (imo) would have produced a less ambiguous and worry message if had just said inter alia - "sidetrack completed and drilling fluid mixed with oil being recovered to surface under natural pressure - it will be some time until flow rates of crude can be established " etc -

Don't disagree sea7 but would add that sometimes the biggest part of the rise in share price happens over the next few days as the news finally sinks in!

Be nice if the Daily Mail or similar picked up on the unfolding ZEN story....

suits me anyway, I see a good positive result today, strengthening the underlying fundamentals of the company and a muted response in the share price, which is opening up a good post result buying opportunity.

I'm not surprised. The rns is not showing on investegate, newswires like pro active aren't featuring it, even as a footnote anywhere, the other usual outlets haven't mentioned it. Apart from this board and lse, I have not seen any mention of it anywhere else. Even googling it, doesn't seem to produce any mention of the success at m195.

In addition to this, they need a few weeks to find out what the actual bopd rate is going to be, so as to provide a new updated amount.

If this gets some coverage somewhere then, we might see a boost to the share price

Lack of awareness is an effect here.

I think they were relying too much on the Azeri workforce and minimal budget, so the arrival of the new COO and assembling a better team under his selection will improve the results especially as they are revising the choice of wells for workover along with the best techniques and technology.
The flow of 149 bls day is a mix of both oil and drilling fluids and hopefully not too much water (if any). As the well cleans up the drilling fluid will reduce with a better picture of production which is under natural pressure. Installing the pump should help matters further.
With the new COO and to reiterate the March target of 1,000 bopd shows they remain confident of getting there.

The lack on any meaningful share price rise and hold is down to the time taken to complete the sidetrack, and the share price continuously drip, drip, dripping lower over the four months and will need more positive news to get any momentum in the s/p, anymore day/weeks of delays will see the share price retrace once again.

Well unless they are going to be doing more sidetracks instead of just workovers where they were expecting between 20-30 bopd, but it would make more sense to do more sidetracks if well suitable..

Good result, very good if they can increase and then replicate across the license area. We do need some guidance on actual composition of flow in the next update (oil vs water), but this is a good start. There should be a notable increase with an ESP.
