My biggest mistakes over a number of years is that i never take profits when I'm up and 2 or 3 weeks later the share price is back down where we started. My fault entirely as i press the buy & sell button but i get it all wrong.Just trying to look at investing from other angles and learn my mistakes in this gameGood Luck

Yes you are probably correct, there will be a sell off but what folks forget is there will be a deal to follow, how soon who knows but I doubt it will be too long..

My thoughts gismo are solely based on this market and that is the ' Sell on news brigade 'If it's signed then we could see a sell off after a very good rise before the next news of a deal ?Just my opnion that's all

What planet are you on Nikki? Obviously another plank who has done no research whatsoever.

Why out if it's signed Catching? The fun starts after that. The deal will be next

Photon:

That translates to:

"The Bank of China will move to the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Pointe-Noire"

Hi Photon,

Trump complains about 'fake news', we complain about 'old news'.

Pity the Chinese, who have to deal with 'future news', which may be what you've just noticed.

Let me explain : in 'future news', events are highly choreographed to be consistent with whatever political message the Party wishes to convey...and articles reporting them are highly controlled and mostly 'scripted' in advance, to make sure that they're 'on message'.

Occasionally - and we had an example of this at FOCAC last year - reality doesn't follow 'script' : IIRC it was when Kenya was expecting/expected to get a loan for the next tranche of its railway project (and this was duly reported as 'news'), when the loan was pulled at the last minute, reportedly over President Xi's requirement that projects be commercially viable....and unhappiness that Kenya was taking it for granted. So the (Chinese) press reported as fact a new loan agreement that didn't happen.

Who knows ? Maybe the same thing has happened here ??!! All sorts of wonderful things will happen (as per your dateline) tomorrow....and not, as we've been led to believe, yesterday.

This is certainly as good an explanation as any other I've seen so far for the curious reticence all are showing around these apparently major developments.

ATB

PS I think your French phrase just means that the bank will 'set up shop' in SEZ PN

Depending on whether there is some idiomatic interpretation of "s'installera" that I'm missing, I find this part interesting:"La Banque de Chine s'installera au niveau de la Zone économique spéciale (ZES) de Pointe-Noire"We will see in due course, no doubt!

It's very slow, it's essentially the same as the vox.cg story - partnership agreements- but it refers to the 12th Sep which is tomorrow.. maybe that's just an error or maybe there will be a formal announcement tomorrow.. anyway FWIW I've taken screenshots and here's text from it"La Chine et le Congo ont signé le 12 septembre à Brazzaville, à l'occasion de la cinquième édition du Forum Investir en Afrique, sept accords de partenariat dans plusieurs domaines, notamment l'énergie et la Zone économique de Pointe-Noire.
