Daveboy,Next year is the year 2021 will pull in a very nice profit and smash brokers target out of the water with a massive relate on all metrics , turnover, profit, overheads down.Current forecast is 156m turnover for 2022 , more like 250m as they scoop up customers all over the place as the markets consolidation finishes, energy prices drop and SME look to lock in new deals before next winter I expect 2022 contracts are already 130 to 140m was 90m at month 8 in 2021 so could even be larger and I personally think turnover could be pushing 250m, forecast was 156m and this will be shattered.Profits could be towards 6 to 7 million on that size of turnover with a net margin of 2% would be 5 and with the digital roll out overheads tumble so net margin could be 3-4, do the maths So if and I say if as my own thoughts on an industry PE of 30 and YU pull in 6m profit MC should be 180m which is 6 times where we currently are. This is why I believe YU will be one of the best performing shares in 2022 and if not for C19 and the energy crisis making the sector the bad boys we would be in that position now not next year.

Powerslave , maybe this fund is the reason for a smooth transition and that until contracts are signed, there is no problem with any initial hedging issues.

Sky news piece on the collapse of so many utilities popped up a surprise, I didn't realise companies like YU can recoup cost from an industry fund. So from where I'm standing it just seems to get better and better.

At SOLR, the customer has made no commitment to stay with YU, therefore, the appropriate hedge is for the short period of time (a week or two) that it would take to transfer to another supplier. Only once the customer has contracted with TU will a long term hedge be bought. To do anything else would be madness, and not in line with the strict back to back policy in place at YU.

The Group has already taken steps to hedge the increased customer demand forecasted in accordance with its robust trading risk mandate.

With regards to hedging Sparky, I can only assume they would have done with only the ones that have transfered and that after only one week there must be thousands that have yet to decide. More than happy for you to put me right

Also gas shot up yesterday good job YU hedged last week , talk about great timing. This is good because this means the ampower take on will have to pay far higher prices if they wish to move. Win/ win because if they do leave more fool them and YU can sell the hedge at a profit

I can't see why Yu wouldn't be a strong contender to pick up one of these. No problems with transferring ampowers customers must be a positive from OFGEMS point of view. Trusted company that can deal with the complexities easily. Get them transferred next weekend and an RNS on Monday 22nd would be nice. RC
