Lifting of restrictions will impact the Covid testing companies though there will still be a requirement for some time. Focus will be on the core business with YGEN to perform in the next financial year as Covid revenues reduce. I am hoping that Canada and US platforms start to strongly contribute as the markets open up.

NPH Confirmed ygen were no longer a supplier of PCR tests because they were not approved. That was last November.

You cannot sell tests without being on the CTDA approved list. Ygen are not in it so not approved to sell in the UK.

Tests that have already been provided and/or taken remain valid if providers are removed from the list. Private providers will be instructed directly when they can no longer provide testing services. R39;

Anyone looked over on LSE.bakky has confirmed a customer (NPH) had stopped using yourgene since November because they were no longer approved. Could he trouble brewing here. What about all those Boots sales through MHC

The government will always operate on a cautious worst case approach when it comes to the health of the nation. Testing is here to stay for a long while yet.. I think the ramping up wording in todays RNS confirms this specifically to YGEN also.

You can't plan and hope for the next variant though. There should be some mileage with sequencing, but testing numbers will decline.

"The company is now scaling up this service for additional volume" doesn't read like it is finished to me. Genetic sequencing is the only way we can maintain our guards against Covid and its variants, and not many labs do that.
