I must admit, I didn't expect the share price to fall today given the tailwinds of the rising U3O8 price yesterday and Sterling falling off a cliff.

Back to over 13% discount to NAV.

California has voted to keep Diablo Canyon open.

More demand for U3O8 and California has a better chance of keeping the lights on, as well as being able to charge all their electric cars.

On page 4 of today’s Telegraph , there’s an article titled “ Johnson will boost nuclear power in final act as PM “ . It begins “ Boris Johnson will today pledge a massive expansion of nuclear power to enhance Britain’s energy security as his final act before leaving Downing Street . The Prime Minister will confirm he is poised to agree a deal to buy a significant stake , thought to be around 20% , of a new nuclear power station planned for Sizewell in Suffolk . He will highlight plans to build eight nuclear reactors in the U.K. , at a pace equivalent to one a year … Conservative front runner Liz Truss is also a big supporter of nuclear power . “ Johnson states that Britain hasn’t built a nuclear reactor for 27 years , and I certainly remember a friend who had a good graduate-level job at Sellafield who told me at that time that there was no future in nuclear power in Britain and , maybe 15 years later , he was working for a defence firm near Bristol . The Telegraph also reports that Johnson actually openly blames Nick Clegg , the Tories’ ex coalition partner , for stating ( in 2010 ? ) that it wasn’t worth building any nuclear reactors as they wouldn’t come on-line for many years ( 2022 - now ) . I say “ thanks Nick “ for helping to abandon nuclear and giving us little investors the opportunity to invest just before the politicians wake up and see the desperate need for our power generation to be decoupled from the mad despotic regimes of the world .

YCA breached the $1bn NAV again.

SPUT also back above $3bn NAV, despite not having issued any new units today nor buying any more Uranium. Somebody must be buying to push the price so quickly. Maybe it's producers like Cameco (short of its Inkai lbs as they're stuck in Kaz, or KAP, which needs more lbs to fulfill its contracts as its production is below plan.

Edit: Now $53.50 mid.

I wonder if SPUT is now putting some of its $53m of cash to work.

Spot ticking up again to $53/lb mid price according to Numerco. I think that puts NAV around 475p.

Let's hope so bmcb. But this is Uranium so you can never be sure.

Is that the last we will see of sub $50 uranium?

Thanks, but the braver move is holding, not selling. So, well done on holding, as I am inclined to agree with 7kiwi :)
Any price above circa 420 will represent profit missed out on for me - but leave some on the table for the next man etc. Also wanted to build further cash reserves for what I think is going to be the next leg down in the stock markets. Also a gamble I guess. CCJ was strong last night though, so of all the sectors that may hold up well when that happens, uranium plays most likely will IMO. Nonetheless, I will continue watching closely here in case I do get lucky. GLA.

I don't know why ADVFN won't allow links to Sprott's website, but Google the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust.

Thanks for all your posts 7kiwi - where do I find the SPUT prices you are quoting from Numerco? Can you post a link? Many thanks

And right on cue, Numerco raises their mid price to $51.75. SPUT didn't buy any U3O8 yesterday, even though they raised cash.

I am out at the moment so don't have my NAV tracker. But I think that would put the NAV north of 460p.

UxC is a major price reporter for Uranium. They are worried there might not be enough material for SPUT to buy if they attract another $1bn. SPUT collected another $8m yesterday.

I guess this must extend to YCA if they manage to get to a premium and riase another $100m+ to exercise their $KAP option.

Tick tock.

Good luck LWHL. A profit is a profit, but I do think you have made your decision too early.

Spot has moved up to $50.75/lb mid according to Numerco tonight. Sterling has dropped too, so we might expect quite a big kicker to the NAV tomorrow and hopefully the share price

Good call. I toyed with the idea around 430p but wasn't brave enough and sold only a few percent of my holding. Tomorrow is another day. Should come good at some point, but it's anyone's guess as to how long it will take.

I have taken a gamble and sold out here. Absolutely hoping to have a chance to get back in, but appreciate if this is the start of the next U bull run, I may very well not! GLA.

Yeah this looks up to date to me.....

Unsurprisingly the YCA discount has unwound now after a fantastic week. Everyone looking for SPUT and the wider U308 market to pop now.

Yes, and spot up too to $49.25 mid according to Numerco.

SPUT up too and almost certainly activating the ATM again.

Even the Sprott Miners ETF was up nearly 10%.

Exciting times. Here's hoping London responds tomorrow.

Big rises in Uranium stocks in NY this evening, e.g. Cameco up 9%.

I got this off Twitter. If the next leg of the bull market is really on, then the YCA share price may well get a turbo boost when these guys cover their shorts. Between them, they're short over 4m shares. Of course some might be part of a complex hedging strategy.
