26/1/2023 11:26 | While I am a big fan of uranium as an energy source, the politicians now claiming it is 'green' and pumping this idea to children in schools, represents a complete volte-face on what they preached for a number of years until really quite recently. A bit like the green pump on EVs. Oh well, such is life. Glad I added at 390p now. | lovewinshatelosses
26/1/2023 09:43 | It seems every man and his dog is producing a Uranium report now. Here's the latest from Ocean Wall. | 7kiwi
26/1/2023 00:14 | Oh, and SPUT raised about $16m today. | 7kiwi
26/1/2023 00:10 | Kuppy on the nuclear thesis. If you need further proof, just consider that Oliver Stone was asked to screen his new pro-nuclear documentary at Davos. The aggressive pivot to nuclear isn’t just in Europe. China and India are also powering ahead with their reactor buildout. Dozens of plants from California to Illinois have been saved, while countries like France are postponing retirements and speaking about building new reactors. Meanwhile, Japan is in the process of turning theirs back on, while Korea has also done an about-face. Everywhere, we see plants either remaining online, or turning back on. All of this change on the demand-side is stunning, but it’s only part of the story. The bigger story is the switch from underfeeding to overfeeding. More here... | 7kiwi
25/1/2023 20:41 | SPUT trading well above NAV for quite a bit of the day on decent volume. Probably raising decent amount of cash. | 7kiwi
25/1/2023 09:58 | New pres out: | 7kiwi
24/1/2023 11:55 | Still unsure of the USD potential weakness versus U spot price potential question I have been pondering, but took a small tranche around 390 nonetheless. I felt it was going to hold firm against the 50 and 200 DMA. Will likely buy a few more if I am proved wrong (often the case!) and we drop lower, back to the 360-ish region. 23/1/2023 14:45 | That is what I am trying to weigh up - I think I am inclined to agree with you, but still deliberating. | lovewinshatelosses
22/1/2023 20:05 | Catch 22 re USD strength. Has a negative effect on translation of profits but a weak USD is positive for risk assets including commodities. I would expect the benefits to outweigh the negative. | bertiebingo
22/1/2023 14:15 | The only thing stopping me from adding here is the threat of a further weakening of the USD this year. Going to keep watching for now... | lovewinshatelosses
19/1/2023 17:11 | New 36-page Canaccord Genuity Uranium report raises YCA from 505p to 530p | pob69
12/1/2023 14:09 | V. good thread from twitter explaining why enrichment tails, under/over feeding matters. | kinbasket
11/1/2023 14:30 | in case you didn't see this on twitter, Cantor update is linked below "US conversion capacity coming back online will bring Higher U3O8 Prices that 'May Come Fast' " | bmcb5
09/1/2023 16:40 | That probably correct, they also hold long position in uranium cos, e.g. uranimum energy corp. | ptolemy
09/1/2023 16:24 | Sometimes a short position in A is paired with a long position in B, with the gamble that B will outperform A. So if both fall, but B by less, it's profitable, (or both rise, B by more.) Pairs trades are common, eg. between supermarket shares. | jonwig
09/1/2023 14:57 | Does anyone have an idea as to why Marshall Wace has a short position in 1.59% of Yellow Cake? I think Uranium will do very well this year. There's a discussion here: hxxps://independents I still think the year for markets will be negative, but governments are chasing uranium in all scenarios.... If war continues or war stops, they still don't want to be reliant on Russia. Then to hit net-zero targets they also need to use nuclear power. | apollocreed1
06/1/2023 19:53 | Same for UUUU. Shame I hold neither :( | lovewinshatelosses
06/1/2023 18:24 | Cameco going bonkers. | j5ack5k
06/1/2023 10:26 | I trimmed a few. Gambling that the NAV will widen further again as it often does. Not sold up completely though, in case it does not. GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
06/1/2023 08:41 | yes - and YCA up 3% out of the gate this morning, although still 8.5% below NAV | sea7
06/1/2023 00:50 | SPUT traded at a premium momentarily today and raised $78K. Chicken feed in the grand scheme of things, but nevertheless, the first time it's raised capital since mid-November. | 7kiwi
04/1/2023 20:47 | More U3O8 demand incoming. Samsung working on a fleet of floating molten salt nuclear reactors, aiming to start 2028. Each ship would generate 800MW and take 2 years to build. | 7kiwi
03/1/2023 17:36 | Strong volume on most of my holdings and those on my watch list. This is going to be one heck of a bumpy year, IMO, but hopefully a profitable one too. GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
03/1/2023 17:19 | Good start to the year. Up on very good volume. | 7kiwi |
