06/7/2022 22:25 | Fascinating new study on the value of advanced nuclear reactors on decarbonising the US grid. Their model suggests 190-470GW of advanced nuclear capacity by 2050. At the top end, that's about the same as total global conventional nuclear capacity today. Just for the US. Imagine the impact if this is repeated across the world. Pity the market isn't in the mood to digest these extremely bullish developments because of the general risk-off sentiment. | 7kiwi

06/7/2022 14:00 | EU Parliament votes to keep nuclear (and gas) in the green energy taxonomy. Essentially, favourable financing terms should be available for new build nuclear power plants. | 7kiwi
06/7/2022 13:29 | Members of the European parliament have decided to follow the science and support legislation which includes nuclear in the blocs sustainable finance taxonomy for green investment.hTTps://t | goodgrief

05/7/2022 23:10 | On the LSE chat site , a poster called SGD27 has provided a link to a report by Cantor , which gives a share target price of £ 5.75 for Yellowcake . If one Googles “ U308 spot price forecast “ , then if you go to the first site , “ Uranium data … “ , you’ll see that most commodity prices dropped markedly today ( maybe due to anticipated further aggressive interest increases by the US Federal Reserve ? ) . One of the few commodities to rise today was Uranium , up 0.79% to $ 51.25 . | mrnumpty

05/7/2022 09:38 | There’s an article in today’s Telegraph , on page 21 , titled “ Weak pound forces food suppliers to push up prices “ . The article explains how , because the raw materials for food and drink are mostly priced in US dollars , and the UK £ has been sliding against the dollar , this is a major factor in increases in the cost of good and drink . The article concludes “ … most commodities are priced in dollars . And , if the Pound continues to devalue , we’re going to end up paying more and more for what we need to make our [ food products ] “ . So , given that U308 is priced in US dollars , and that the much more aggressive rate of interest rate increases by the US Federal Reserve , compared to the much weaker response by the Bank of England , may continue the decline of the pound , doesn’t this increase the attraction of Yellowcake , ie because its / our holdings of U308 are valued in US dollars ? | mrnumpty

02/7/2022 08:22 | A 24% NAV discount looks rather absurd; especially as these were trading up to a premium just 3 months ago! | skyship

01/7/2022 07:08 | Good news - Kazatomprom delivered 950,000 LB of U(3) O(8) on time to the Cameco storage facility in Canada yesterday. Yellow Cake currently holds 18,805,601 lb of U(3) O(8) in storage in Canada and France. NAV now £4.33, share price just £3.26! | bountyhunter
30/6/2022 22:17 | Yes, good news of sorts yupa. Another tick on the ratchet of tightening supply. I can't quite believe the YCA share price falling in the face of a rising U3O8 price. I am not quite sure what it will take to cause a reversal, but surely some institutions are going to find the opportunity to good to resist soon. | 7kiwi
30/6/2022 17:59 | The U.S. Government are now officially in the market to purchase I million lbs of U.S mined uranium, although this is a truly small amount, surely this is just the beginning. | yupawiese2010
30/6/2022 10:51 | Given the extent of discount to NAV, buyback ought to be resumed... | yasx
29/6/2022 19:20 | Interesting insights in the GCL interim results. | 7kiwi
29/6/2022 09:36 | Hi 7Kiwi, Perhaps they will announce another buyback following the confirmation of delivery of 0.95 million lb due 30 June 2022 They still have $16.6M dollars available which is over 5 times the last buy back programme Or could they consider cancelling the 4,636,331 shares held in treasury, is that possible? Just idle musings, but with the discount double what they purchased at in the last buy back, it must be highly tempting and both options look like a safe way to increase shareholder value which is their mantra I have bought 10K shrs today fwiw | return_of_the_apeman
29/6/2022 09:24 | The final 0.95m lbs from Kazatomprom is due to be delivered today or tomorrow. SO, I guess we should expect an RNS by the end of the week. | 7kiwi
28/6/2022 18:09 | Back to a ~19% discount. Time for another buy back programme? | 7kiwi
28/6/2022 18:05 | jon, Kaz exports to China, but I don't think there's yet an established route for onward shipment from China to the west. Prior to the Ukraine conflict the Kaz Yellow Cake went through Russia to St. Petersburg. That route is effectively cut off now because the Canadian ships that can carry Uranium are not allowed to move the material. They have previously tested a route across the Caspian, Azerbaijan and the Black Sea, but that's also blocked at the moment because of the difficulty getting insurance for ships in the Black Sea. | 7kiwi |
