09/6/2022 05:51 | It takes the market a while to catch up, which is of course good for those with foresight. Good things come to those that wait. GLA | axonic
08/6/2022 23:01 | I'm in the same boat. I just hope others will see the value here which we spotted earlier on. Which is of course the best way to win on the stock market. | pngasef

08/6/2022 13:49 | CMC, if you recall where we were a year ago this has been significantly derisked in 12 months. Confirmation of the cash flows from Africa will remove uncertainty from the extended 'deadlines'. For the resources sector this has gone fairly well so far! | the diddymen
08/6/2022 13:40 | The Diddymen, that would then solve the "uncertainty" for funding, especially if management explain things clearly about the funding for the exploration across Ascot. I've been thinking, probably we haven't seen the best drill results yet and with further exploration at Ascot we will more than likely hit better results. If one was to look at what happened to Cadia and how their results came out we could surmise a similar scenario here. To explain what could happen here if they were to hit something outstanding, the share price could easily double just off the back of excellent drill results, so it's all still very much to play for here, IMHO. When investing in explorers and miners, one has to think about elongating time, so that 3-6 months is not seen as a "long time", this will help any investor to realize better gains. If you don't want to believe me then just listen to Rick Rule and Pierre Lassonde who are both billionaires. Rick Rule has a nice phrase he uses about how investors lose because they need to have that psychological feedback all the time of seeing their investment "doing stuff" or going up. You can see it all over these bb's where investors have that mentality, it's human nature. | the count of monte_cristo
08/6/2022 13:13 | Hunklington, thanks for the link. Mid-range seems to be about £6.4m pa, with full revenue on stream imminently. I would still expect an RNS to confirm and that should extinguish the 'placing' factor in the current share price. | the diddymen

08/6/2022 12:00 | The more it looks like Cadia the more value they can get when they sell it. Not the case that they will drill significant amounts, but the more they do the more they understand. I see this as positive. They won't partner on Ascot, that's not the company strategy here. | the count of monte_cristo
08/6/2022 11:55 | That does not sound unsure, but to the contrary sure, we need to do further work to make sure we don't sell the asset which later on proves much more valuable. I also not sure about any need for a partner with African assets ramp up and forthcoming income streams. It appears we are not under any financial pressure to make a quick sale. On the other hand we don't want a death through thousands cuts which, to me, indicates that the original timescales are obviously off but there won't be a protracted delay in entering the negotiations stage - Q3/Q4 22 is entirely possible IMHO. | picardy
08/6/2022 11:44 | It could also be that he is now unsure what is the best way forward. As he says, it would be silly to sell Ascot only for it to turn out big. I suspect he will put any sale of RC on hold until determining wheher/how to prove up Ascot. He might also invite in a partner to pay for it. Everything is up in the air in my view. | lurker5
08/6/2022 11:34 | He is also much more careful with his wording - is it is the sign that we are not that far away from the sale negotiations stage and he wants to keep his cards close to his chest? | picardy

06/6/2022 11:29 | Quite shocking the way shareholders have been strung along here. As predicted the quick sale of bushranger is now on hold it seems. Instead of the promised shareholder reward following a sale to AA, it now looks as it will be death by geo drilling instead. | asitis
02/6/2022 07:17 | The following post is by johnswan and is copied from the lse bb: johnswan1 Posts: 38 Price: 4.75 No Opinion RE: Some perspective....?? Wed 22:45 "My view is surface drilling to try to make it more attractive to a buyer because they are nowhere near 2MT. I said the other day Colin was talking about 400-600MT of rock. Somebody else said they heard 800MT at one point. In the interview this week he mentioned 20MT x 20 years. To me that suggests 400MT, possibly, and perhaps not even there yet. With a 0.15% cut off what sort of average grade are we talking about, 0.30%? Which would suggest only 1.2MT. My feeling is that they expected more from the assays released this year, which have been disappointing, and although the gold at Ascot is interesting, the lack of copper is not helpful. Some of suggesting Colin has 2MT up his sleeve but quietly advancing the plan while Ascot is proved further. I don’t believe that at all. If he had it he’d be screaming about it from the rooftops, and this interview failed to address or support statements made previously re 2MT and very strongly indicated timelines." | papillon
