03/6/2024 13:09 | Indeed, but for me it's more about the treasure hunt in the Western Foreland. | the count of monte_cristo
03/6/2024 10:41 | Taken a position here this morning on the basis that at current and projected copper prices Bushranger has to come back into play. BHP are desperate to expand their copper assets, as evidenced by their recent failed bid for Anglo American, but the Zambia assets are also very attractive, so two bites at the cherry. Little wonder that I had to use a fill or kill order for both trades this morning. | the skipper
01/6/2024 11:34 | Some key extracts from the article below, this is the prize on offer in Zambia and why companies are going there; “We think the potential for discovery is great. There is a lot more to be found in Zambia,” Josh Goldman, president of KoBold Metals, told CNBC via videoconference “The central African copper belt is the part of the world where you can find things of this extraordinary grade. And that’s why we are there. The geology is extraordinary,&rdquo “It is not just that there haven’t been deposits like this. It’s that there are more to be found. Here is Mingomba — and then where is the next Mingomba after this? This is the part of the world and style of deposit where we can find resources of this scale and quality, and Zambia provides an operating environment that is really extraordinary,&rdquo ‘The potential for discovery is great’ KoBold Metals said that most copper currently being mined has an ore grade of around 0.6%, whereas its Mingomba deposit has copper ore grades of more than 5%. “That means that you have to mine a lot less rock in order to get the same amount of copper,” Goldman said. | the count of monte_cristo
30/5/2024 15:27 | Yes, the Western Foreland is a very exciting place to be exploring for copper. I like it. | the count of monte_cristo
30/5/2024 14:46 | Any of the clever mining chaps got a view on this announcement? | chris cat
28/5/2024 11:01 | Worth a read...it's called "Silverking" for a reason. Silver price doing well recently. | the count of monte_cristo
15/5/2024 07:15 | As much as some folks want to downplay Bushranger, at these copper prices all of these types of copper projects globally come back into play. They have to, in order to fill the future supply gaps, although it takes decades to bring mines online. Just look at SOLG. Basic supply and demands, not enough copper, not enough exploration been going on, not enough discoveries being made, whilst demand has been increasing....India turned a net importer of copper back in 2019, remember when China moved from a net exporter to importer of copper? India has 1.4 billion people, all wanting a better life. Currently Bushranger has been ascribed basically zero value by the market. This copper story has a long way to run. | the count of monte_cristo
13/5/2024 00:40 | I would imagine soon, they only just rns's the acquisition of the project, 3rd April 2024:) Why the future for copper is shining bright | The Business | ABC News Metals Acquisition - Looking to acquire more copper projects and mines. | the count of monte_cristo
12/5/2024 15:05 | But when will xtr start drilling? | divmad
12/5/2024 12:18 | More drilling results, this year, like this please😁 Historic Peak Silverking reported drill intercepts including 50m @ 5.47% Cu in borehole SVKRC002 from 55m to 105m depth. The hole stopped in mineralisation. Mineralised intercepts peaked at 52.2% Cu over a 1m drilled interval. | the count of monte_cristo
07/5/2024 02:39 | Yes, do share it when you have the time. Thanks. | the count of monte_cristo
06/5/2024 12:11 | We await the BR costing then. Thanks L5 look forward to reading it. | ifc2
06/5/2024 11:51 | Count. Just for interest, I did a simulation for GGP's Havieron PFS for 30% higher costs Turned out that for same gross profit @ its existing(initial) 50% margin and same volume, gold price needs a 15% increase - ie from $1,850/oz gold in the PFS to $2,127/oz But with 30% capex increase on top, gross profit must increase 20% for same 5% NPV - ie gold price must increase a further 10% to $2330 - a 26% gold price increase frm the 2021 PFS needed just to stand still. Total back of envelope of course and for a 9 year LOM (would be different for different LOM and initial gross margin) and needs more production profile detail. But it shows the sort of scale that must be affecting all pre-development projects. (and one reason why commodity prices will have to increase substantially if they are to be mined.) I could do one for BR's scenarios, but no time at present | lurker5
06/5/2024 05:34 | Fair points, hence why Bushranger is a parked for the moment. Bushrangers will have it's day in the coming years as the demand for copper increases, just have to wait. Meanwhile they focus on Zambia. | the count of monte_cristo
04/5/2024 17:59 | Count that's all very well. But even the best scenarios are pretty marginal, and since the study (when were capital costs fixed ?) all mining costs have rocketed. (viz poor old HZM). I would guess copper needs to be > $12,000 to arouse serious interest. But when that happens, many other prospects - probably bigger - will be coming under acquirers' radars too. Location will help though. | lurker5
02/5/2024 10:23 | Well GLR have just received almost 3m GBP. | the count of monte_cristo
02/5/2024 08:03 | Holding nice these used to 10p LOL. It's another AIM dog always has been, be carful with Count Dracula and his daily ramping he has form on other boards. Loads have lost a fortune with him and his vampires at work | bspgamer
02/5/2024 07:54 | CB seems to have been on Social Media recently punting Galealio quite a bit | chris cat
02/5/2024 01:35 | Well XTR holding up very nicely, certainly in comparison to some stocks which have been ramped by certain posters, one of whom continues to visit this board. Embarrassing really. Looking at CB's stable of companies, I think XTR has the best prospects, it certainly has the strongest financial position out of all of them and is in control of the projects as a result of the cash position. CB loves to drill, so should be quite a lot of news flow this year as a couple of the projects should see drilling. Especially excited about the Western Foreland licenses. | the count of monte_cristo

30/4/2024 05:18 | India is going to have to do what China did 20 years ago, which is to start buying up copper projects and mines globally. With that focus being on Africa, and the copper belts. Plus. I'd say some deals in the Philippines too. | the count of monte_cristo |
