12/4/2022 12:47 | Hmm! Buys at 6.80. I'm beginning to think we'll be over 7p by this Maundy Thursday. Fabergé Easter eggs anyone? | denjon
12/4/2022 12:37 | If you look at my post again you will see That I was asking a question...not making a statement. On saying that simply from experience when a stock like this starts a steady rise it is usually fuelled by those in the know buying before an anouncement. | exile
12/4/2022 11:57 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com The XTR chart is very bullish and it has been ever since we had a bullish "Golden Cross" form on the chart back in October. The 6p support level failed to hold because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and nervous investors no doubt sold, but the support at 5p held and the XTR share price quickly bounced back over that 6p support level. I have no doubt that investors will push the share price back over last year's 9p intraday high because of the impending news. RNS's drive sp's up and then investors confidence in the future keeps them up. Where investors don't have that confidence in the future shares spike up on good news, but then quickly drop back to from whence they came and then drop lower. TOM & PVR are excellent examples. AIM is littered with such examples. | papillon
12/4/2022 11:38 | Usually I don't say anything because it's normally a good buy signal and I don't want others pushing up the price of a stock to which I am still buying, but on this occasion I thought I would share my experience and thought process because it seems obvious to me the share price is due some bigger movements as we move ever closer towards more important news flow. These boards are a gauge of human emotions which wax and wane for stocks. Use them to your advantage. | the count of monte_cristo
12/4/2022 11:32 | Actually I find it very useful. As soon as someone starts talking about leaks / insiders etc, you can be virtually certain they are naive conspiracy theorists, and they go straight onto my filtered list ;-) | qazwsxedc69
12/4/2022 11:20 | It's lazy to simply explain share price movements as 'leaks' or 'someone must know something'. It's a mistake that is very common to most investors, when they can't understand something they explain it away with something they can easily understand. Some dark force to which they can never add a name or specific details, which helps them to justify their conspiracy theory as to why shares move up and down. The fact is, we all know that the project is progressing and anyone who has spent a little time researching the stock and listening to Colin Bird will also know that we are due more significant news flow as we move into May. Knowing this, people are simply investing ahead of the curve. Like myself, buying in now in advance of this. In my mind, now is similar to what happened last summer when the stock was in the 3p range and then started it's move upwards into Oct. That move wasn't to do with any 'leaks' either. If one wants to explain things in terms of 'insiders knowing something', then that's us, the PI's, the people who have been in XTR since pre-Bushranger drilling. It's basic speculation and if one wants to make money you need to understand this because if you don't you will be like the rest of the herd and never make the money you could do because of the way you are thinking. It's a thought process which was the same hundred years ago as it is now. DYOR, IMHO etc. | the count of monte_cristo
12/4/2022 10:56 | Exile over the last 8 months or so there has been a constant tightening of the shareholder base and stock is harder to come by. The post Ukraine period has demonstrated the relative strengths of XTR. At the moment I have June down for the completion of the updated conceptual pit and until they have that model it will be very difficult to engage on detail with AA. That said with a much tighter shareholder base, a much clearer picture of the asset base and t diminishing there will be upwards pressure on the share. In my view the first etangible evidence of a corporate action will be a significant catalyst for price movement, but I am fully expecting a firming of the price before then and I would have thought that will take it through 8p (subject to Africa generating the expected cash!) | the diddymen
12/4/2022 09:46 | Why would it have been leaked? Please explain. | the count of monte_cristo
12/4/2022 09:44 | The Diddymen..... I won't begin to get enthusiastic until this breaches 8p... if it does I would guess info has been leaked regarding corporate action ? | exile
11/4/2022 12:34 | Saw the following posted on the lse bb, by Ella10, this morning: "Mines and Wines Today 07:58 This event next month has QH presenting the rediscovery of Bushranger. I believe the Mines and Wines event was originally planned for late 2021 and presumably includes same material as originally planned. Each presentation is only 25mins. One of the presentators for Newcrest is Cameron Switzer. He is their Regional Exploration Manager Asia Pacific. It also appears that he worked for Straits Resources during the period that they were exploring the area. Newcrest's Chief Geoscientist is also presenting. It might be interesting to be a fly on the wall for any conversations between the three of them." So Oberon Quinton Hills (that's some moniker! 🤣) is presenting a paper on the Bushranger licence on behalf of Xtract Resource's (XTR) at this mining conference. Lovely Jubbly! | papillon
11/4/2022 08:50 | The SOLG RNS today may help XTR 1 The PFS may show the difficulties and cost of block caving to the benefit of those companies offering open pit. 2 If as some believe it will trigger an offer for Alpala by two big companies it will reinforce the fact that copper is a scarce asset in a competitive world. This may affect AA`s stance on XTR`s offering. It should help Colin and hasten our beer together. | arcadian
10/4/2022 15:17 | As the old saying goes, TD, you make your own luck. CB has obviously got tons of mining experience and great contacts in the mining industry, no doubt essential in spotting and recognising the lucky chance of Bushranger becoming available when it did and grasping the opportunity before others did so. When it comes to getting a good price when selling a licence CB has "got the tee shirt" as evidenced by KIW. Full marks to those who bought XTR shares back in the summer of 2020 following the Bushranger acquisition announcement. I have to admit that even if I had known of XTR back then my mining ignorance would have stopped me buying XTR shares. Ignorance isn't bliss! | papillon

10/4/2022 13:53 | Loving some of the comments on here recently, it's why one can make money with these exploration plays. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing:) | the count of monte_cristo

10/4/2022 11:44 | I reckon CB has struck lucky twice. He struck lucky with KIW and he's struck lucky again with XTR's Bushranger licence. In fact it's a combination of CB's experience and nose for a good exploration play and luck. He definitely got lucky with Racecourse/ Bushranger. In the first place he was lucky such a great opportunity was available at such a very low price back in the early summer of 2020 and secondly he had the wherewithal and experience to snap it up before others did so. I find it amazing that he was able to obtain such a great opportunity as the Bushranger licence, with such immense exploration potential, before others did so and at such a low price. Of course luck must have played a part, but it also shows CB's foresight in action. No wonder the XTR share price spiked up from 2p to 9p on that first Racecourse good news RNS back in January 2021. Of course the subsequent share dilution due to the raising of cash and profit taking has meant that over a year later the XTR share price is still significantly below that January 2021 high despite continuing good newsflow including Ascot, but we're gradually getting there. IMO it won't be long before we're above last year's high and continuing good newsflow will see the share price powering upwards. How high? Who knows? How long is a piece of string? 🤣. | papillon
10/4/2022 11:44 | The valuation of XTR includes an amount for the value of the African assets, some of which are already in production. Are those assets of negligible value? (Anyway, they are of no interest to Anglo.) | meanreverter
10/4/2022 08:44 | TD. I find your explanation very clear, succinct and helpful. Hopefully the beginning of the end game is fast approaching! | denjon
10/4/2022 06:50 | T3 AA's valuation can only be based on the underlying asset. Having derived a valuation that could be expressed as a multiple of XTR's share price. Not sure what the issue is here! | the diddymen
09/4/2022 19:33 | Are we going to hit 9p or drift back down to 6p, also small gap in chart to fill at 5p, take your pick. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | avsome1968
09/4/2022 17:17 | Twinkle I think you need to do more research. Try reading Gulliver`s Travels where people were at war over which end to open a boiled egg. | arcadian
09/4/2022 10:24 | Twinkle it would make absolute sense from a tax point of view to sell the company (Projectore) not the asset. | the diddymen
09/4/2022 06:01 | Err, Twinkle it’s just so amusing you call somebody else a numpty when you don’t understand the simplst of company/asset valuation concepts which leads ‘everyone̵ | zhtan1 |
