I think the clever ones sold at 6p , will wait for the selling to finish and buy back. They will then be holding more shares than if you kept hold of them. It seems to be playing out that way atmo. Not sure what the buy back price will be though. Ps i wasn't one of the clever ones sadly !

As I posted yesterday if you believe in what will happen at the conclusion of the XTR story then a 4p share price is better than a 6p share price because you can buy more shares for your bucks!

When the 50% autumn sales are on I am so depressed and unhappy because I want to pay the full 100% price in the shops:)

The XTR share price is news driven. Unfortunately the last couple of RNS's have failed to attract more buyers than sellers and consequently the share price has fallen by over 15% since last week. Don't forget that the XTR sp, even now, is still up by a massive percentage compared to the start of the year.
I was hoping for an share price of at least 8p by the end of this year. I now accept it's going to require some dramatically good news to achieve my optimistic share price forecast.

Pay more if you like. Pay less if you interact with the IG brokers in person. It was just friendly advice. In my experience interacting with the web portal alone is inefficient, to say the least.

To confirm the IG quote was for a direct buy on the market, it is possible to test market size and price via their website.

At the time you could buy 25,000 shares at 5.09p but for 150,000 they wanted 5.18p - at the same time nearly all retail brokers were 'at best'

The fact that they were asking a premium for size and other brokers were 'at best' suggests there is no overhang or major seller in the background.

I find this data very useful as a guide for trend reversal in stocks that have fallen hard.

NB if you were buying that as a s/b IG would add a small premium to that price, but this does not tend to inflate due to market conditions.

For example. if you are buying the shares, IG is currently offering a price of 5.101. I have just obtained a quote for 100,000 using L2 Dealer (which the IG brokers tend to use to get quotes from market makers) of 5.025 for that volume.

Quite a difference. Why pay more ?!

Is it a spread bet or shares you are looking to buy with IG? It makes little difference (apart from the ultimate CGT tax implications - none for a spread bet) as with a low cap like this IG would buy any corresponding shares to hedge your spread bet. Therefore if you took out a spreadbet equivalent to e.g. 123,456 shares you would see that appear in the trades list for that exact number of real shares purchased. So the way to get the best price for either shares or a spreadbet is to call IG, ask for a quote for the size of your trade, they will get the best quote from the various market makers and you can say yes please. By definition it will be within the real spread. No IG premium.

IG are asking a sizable premium for modest size, bashers appearing on bulletin boards also, suggests someone is after shares at a knockdown price.

Most retail brokers remain 'at best' currently for anything over 25,000 shares.

Quote from RNS one month ago:
"Upon reviewing those cash flow projections for the forthcoming twelve months, the Directors would not expect for funds to be raised through equity raisings, or require additional financial resources in the twelve-month period from the date of authorising the consolidated information to enable the Company to fund its current operations and to meet any future commitments in the event that the Company decides to continue with further exploration work including drilling campaigns in Australia and Zambia."

Bit late in the day for an update but looks like the price is about to move up, most brokers are 'at best' & IG want a largish premium for modest size.

Nobody really knows where the share price will drop to in the short term. It could have bottomed today for all I know.
I'm guessing that the 50 day EMA could be the next destination, bwtfdik? I'm only guessing.
For the longer term the chart is still bullish.
