maybe the numbers were known to the recent buyers that pushed up the share price

No, numbers; perhaps not surprisingly. Nevertheless, this is good news and I wonder what effect it will have on the share pride.

Agree TBF, I fully expect to retest the 2 pence S/R level, if we hold I'm happy to buy more for attack on 3 pence and beyond. very comfortable with my investment here!

Apattern of higher highs and higher lows is developing. A sure sign that in time this will rerate to well beyond 3p. It isn't easy trading in and out in size (a few million)so therefore I tend to buy and hold. Sometimes the hardest thing is to do nothing - but also the most profitable.

Small profit taking, always happens after huge gains. I feel sorry for the people who sold out at 1.6p a fortnight ago!

A good day today, and no sell off at the end which is quite revealing. It should mean that these shares have hopefully been bought by long-term investors and not day traders. Onwards and upwards.

Talking of charts...are there any expert chart analysts on here?
The first spike in share price came after the share price made a repeat crossing above the 50day SMA. This second rise is soon after the share price has made a repeat crossing above the 200 day SMA. I'm not sure but are these buying signals for traders? The 50 day SMA is heading up and could cross the 200 day SMA if the price holds. I'm pretty sure that when the 50 goes above the 200 line that's seen as a good sign and will bring in new buyers.

A beautiful rise on the chart. I am beginning to wonder whether there is more to this than a modest CFO purchase.

chris ogle owns the same number of shares in his co as I hold, i never understand why some key players at borad level are not loaded up with stock if the growth story in their business is so compelling?

saucepan - thanks, i agree that it is very good practice to closely follow any directors dealings of a company. last year there were 14 separate purchases of shares by directors and zero sales. Take a look at my post 33.

Ah, there we have it: excellent. A financial officer buying is always a good sign.

Paul442: I like and agree with your analysis - post 122.

Yasx: thanks for the feedback on Singers.

Sauce,

Nothing from Singers yet - but the analyst at Singers is very good and highly regarded, and I suspect will initiate fairly shortly. They did cover it briefly prior to being appointed, though that was as part of a broader sector note, not XPS specifically.

personally, i believe the answer to the continual rise in the share price is very logical.

firstly, the overhang of the large seller was cleared last month, which meant that any share price increase was sold into until the order was filled.

secondly, with no large seller on the books, the buy to sell ratio has been increasing steadily.

thirdly, this share has been oversold for far to long.

fourthly, there are no pump and dumpers on this thread yet!
