A share buy back doesn't incentivise the average holder. A special divi would. I'd actually suggest a combination.

I agree with you on the dividend tax, but let's be honest what is now left in terms of assets and revenue after this deal is paid out?My point being is that it's not much and they will buyback shares and ultimately shareholders don't gain a lot.

Dividend is taxable mate. At this rage they could buy back 40% of shares with no need to hurt the working capital.

Let's see, my feeling is a buyback does not really represent much value for shareholders as we basically have no real assets, so a special dividend would see the money leaving the company

The last update plus the payout, cash wise things are very good but the question everyone has is will they be doing a buyback in September or a special dividend, my thinking is a buyback.

XLM's CEO downplayed this at the last investor call. Does anyone have a view on this in relation to XLM?

THAT THE COMPANY BE AUTHORISED TO MAKE MARKET PURCHASES OF ORDINARY SHARES (A response to this proposal is mandatory)

So a buyback is happening by the looks of it.

Once the final earn out is made in September, a sale of the US business feels likely.

From their call, since, the post of eu assets sold, they are getting some offers and interests in some USA assets or the whole business. They will consider offers as long as it makes sense to

I think that is a good analysis of the situation.

The market was probably expecting more tangible news about the distribution of cash. IMHO, it was already possible to make a first distribution or a buyback and make a second one after October, when the second tranche of 10m is received. However, I think that a reason to delay a distribution could be to buy time and see if an offer for the whole company (and not just the US assets)comes through when XLM has still a large net cash position.

Let's hope the the share price does not slide down too much in the interim.

So dividends mean we pay tax. Buyback no tax as share price rise simply offsets losses and no cg
