29/3/2015 09:37 | It only just occurred to me that Neil Woodford has a holding in his Income Fund, where the likelihood is that there won't be any dividends for a while. Also, if you log in to the details if his new Patient Capital Fund, Xeros is one of the case studies. He obviously has great faith in the company. | melf
28/3/2015 11:47 | Also the reason I choose not to sell out completely with a company such as this is due to my experiences ages ago during the tech boom. Yes I am afraid I have been doing it that long! I was learning then and quite happy to take profits along the way as you indicate. However, when a thing became particularly successful I saw how the people who had bought and held did far and away better than I had when I was just selling the highs and buying the dips! Of course there is the difficulty of not knowing which companies have got it right and which will fold and that's why I am content here to some extent in that Woodford and the like, can afford to pay for their assessments if needs be and can go and visit these firms however far-flung they may be away. It is important though that people stick with their own style and comfort levels and I never would bet 'the family farm' as they say on any share particularly a start-up. imo | hazl
28/3/2015 09:09 | Interesting bamboo. and I also noted the wider events it sent companies like ARM down straight away... however what I find difficult with charts,....is time scale. I do use them myself and have seen the relevance over the years but have nothing like the detail that you use. Of course its thrown out in its entirety if something spectacular happens to a company or it has a take-over bid for example. I suppose what I'm saying is that a company like Gemfields GEM has a great and promising chart for the seven year time scale but no clear direction can I see for the next 6 months? I can rely on the fundamentals....whic Would you if you saw a blip on the chart sell just on the chart alone? What do you see in Gem's chart? Please don't go to the trouble of doing a chart but what would a quick glance tell you, out of interest? imo | hazl
28/3/2015 08:08 | NASDAQ flakiness earlier this week was partly responsible for me selling, there's been no change in my positive view of xsg. I'm ready to buy back in at a higher price if neccessary. Once this big triangle is confirmed to the positive side, it will be well worth it. I'll look at a detailed chart over the weekend, and add it to this post, if it sheds any more light than the previous one. cheers. daily. On first glance it seems I have sold too early! Volume seems on the low side though. | bamboo2
27/3/2015 11:22 | I have a core holding also....you never know ...how far this company will go. imo | hazl
27/3/2015 10:34 | I never miss the latest edition of Laundry and Cleaning News International! Oldish news methinks but worth posting as there hasn't been much recently. Bamboo, it is very tempting when you make that much in such a little time. I have to confess to selling a third of my holding for the same raeson but I am leaving the rest to see how this plays out. Good luck. | melf

12/3/2015 14:35 | Another award..... In December 2014, we published a blog post on how Xeros’ awards cabinet is starting to fill up with prestigious business awards. Well, we are barely into 2015 and already we are pleased to report that Xeros has scooped another top award. Less than a year since being named University Spin Out of the Year at the New Energy and Cleantech Awards and winning bronze at the prestigious Edison Awards, Xeros has claimed the Innovator prize at the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards. The scheme, which recognises excellence, entrepreneurship, growth and enterprise in the region's corporate community, attracted a record number of entries this year. Xeros was recognised for the most creative or original business thinking and is proud to have beaten off some stiff competition. | melf
05/3/2015 08:29 | Just checking the outcome of the recent triangle, two points, 1, it slightly missed target again, and 2, the apex called the turn almost to the hour. | bamboo2
04/3/2015 12:31 | absolutely....its building towards a hopefully spectacular future melf imo | hazl
04/3/2015 12:18 | Hi hazl I don't think the figures are going to be spectacular but it will be interesting to see where the company is with regard to beefing up production or licencing. | melf
