10/1/2014 14:54 | fwiw indicators on the chart still reflect a strong bearish outlook interestingly news on the outcome of the meeting for the water license may come at a time when the share price is on a critical path on the ichimoku chart the 2 most significant things to note are the gap and the kumo cloud depending where the price is in relation to the kumo cloud on the release of news will have a significant effect on the sp, and of course whether the news is indeed good or bad! point A would clearly be the strongest and most favourable, prior news on #IO4 could get it there, with the gap filled and the share price above the kumo point B would have seen the gap filled but natural resistance from the kumo cloud would need a combination of good news and a significant push on high volume to clear the cloud, but in doing so may create a new gap point C is the current situation with an unfilled gap on good news, again resistance of the kumo would need a significant push on high volume to clear and in doing so may not only create a new gap up but also leave the existing gap down unfilled, creating double weakness for any subsequent gains however without predicting what the outcome of the water license meeting will be, the absence of any news on IO#4 coupled with any subsequent negative water license news being released when the share price is at point B or C could create the perfect storm and could see the share price plummet to circa 50p | ![]() cocorico2009

03/3/2011 10:50 | This is having a good run. Things do not look promising in the Ivory Coast I'm afraid. Did you see we have had our very own 'flash crash' last tuesday. They'll have to do something about HFT. Cocoa traders demand circuit breakers | ![]() mart

08/11/2010 19:11 | Looks like we're in a box formation. Historically significant level at green line signals tough resistance to overcome. A breakout above this level and the race is on. A break below red and 3.4 will be the price to watch. | rocket mn
08/11/2010 14:41 | Guess he used to think that Lloys and RBos were, well, safe as banks! Still it is a bit more difficult managing a LOT of money, with all the regs and everything. Still, as far as I'm concerned cocoa has proved to be shark infested custard. Just as well some of the other commodities have been easier to read. | ![]() mart
08/11/2010 01:43 | An interesting snippet on cocoa which I hadn't come across before. "... When Anthony Ward of hedge fund Armajaro, spent £650 million on 240,000 tonnes of cocoa beans this summer after which the price of cocoa plummeted as Ward's fellow hedge fund managers bet against him it seemed to confirm the belief hedge funds are now playing fast and loose in the commodities world, as they had in the subprime mortgage market years ago. Last month ETF Securities Cocoa fund was sitting at 18% down on its January price. ..." | ![]() mart
