Worthington announce today the sale of B S Dollamore, their extrusion, weaving
and quilting division, to Streamline Products Limited, a company controlled by
Brian Dollamore, the division's managing director.  The consideration is to be
the equivalent of the division's net asset value as at today's completion date
(excluding cash and inter-company balances but with the freehold property
included at a revalued amount of #425,000).  A payment on account of #772,375
will be made today, which equates to the corresponding net asset value as at 29
February 2000.  An adjustment will be made to the consideration on or by 28
April 2000 to take into account the relevant net asset value as at today's
completion date.  All the proceeds will be used to further reduce the Group's
borrowings.

The equivalent net assets as at 31 March 1999 were #747,400 and the pre tax
profit for the year ended 31 March 1999 was #116,000.

This disposal follows the Board's  commitment to significantly reduce its
exposure to certain parts of the textile sector.
