Sorry to hear that . . . most of us have been there (that's why I'm such a cynic and question most RNSs and stuff posted on BBs) . . . look upon it as a learning experience and move on IMHO . . .

i would think anyone who did invest in 2008 would be totally screwed. there has been the Germany listing in 2010-11 before we even got to this LSE one (which was a disaster, 95% fall). looks like it was a private pre-ipo round back in 2008 though.

you know what would restore my a lot of faith? Mr Riches returning his £1M bonus to the company voluntarily and waiving (not deferring) bonuses in the same way so of the fat cat bank CEOs have done.

Same company breakdance, same patents, same promises, same registration number. Type this into Google and check out the top link "Neil Riches Conman". read post 15872. would fit in here!

some quotes from it (all in 2008)...

"Something doesn't smell right here. Capital Ideas has invested £100k in Worldlink for 790,514 shares (about 12.6p per share) BUT SEPARATELY has been given 9,754,399 shares "in lieu of arrangement fees. Alternatively put Capital Ideas has invested £100k of cash and some of its time for 10,544,913 shares, which equates to just less than 0.01p per share! And now they're looking to flog all of their shares at 11p!"

"Personally, I find this whole omission to be completely misleading to potential investors. Is this legal?"

"Had a brief scan of the brochure at our share club last night but ended up giving it a wide berth (well, it was never really in doubt). Particularly impressive for an £80M company is the value of its tangible fixed assets at £1,256"

"I am a shareholder in Worldlink. Neil Riches is a good conman"

And 2011...."I heard the company listed on the Franfurt stock exchange €5.00 --Seems like a bit a dog stock. Now trading - €0.11 -- great investment??? what the latest news?"

big problem for Riches is that social media /forums etc is much more prolific than back in 2007/8. A simple click will allow even small pi's to do their own due diligence, see what has transpired and not get duped.

Wasn't that with different companies though each time? I think they would love to do it here, but that Patent is going to be difficult to move out into a new company I feel.I don't understand their game plan?

to keep hold of it, go quiet for a bit, then do it again. by all accounts this is what they tried in in 2008, 2010 and this time. found loads of threads dated back to 2008 about this lot. warnings given back then but obviously, none of us saw it. probably hoping the next lot in 2014/2015 won't see this either.

You'd think he'd put £200k in if required after that bonus he took? I honestly don't think he has ever had any intention of paying anybody including us. There is a reason why it's being strung out. Just not sure why...!!??

breakdance, just saw that it is £20K on LSE from watchingbrief. is that for just Candey or does that include the other three too? surely he'd put the money in if it's only £20K in total?

well tough for them. i hope ritches and his band of fraudulent crooks get whats comming to them. i hope they are found guilty, jailed and rot in jail. they have ripped off just about everyone who has invested in this sham of a company whilst posting lies and lining their own pockets. i dont think much of the fsa either since they have had plenty of opportunity to investigate this farce but have done nothing...

The point of a winding up petition is to say ok if you are not going to pay me then i am going to make your life a nightmare by winding your company up. Forced liquidations usually come with a very thorough investigation of the directors and their actions, unlike a voluntary liquidation. It means people like Riches will be scrutinised and if any wrongdoing/insolvent trading has occurred its a potential criminal offence, and could lead to severe consequences. I don't think WGP will be too happy about how their day is panning out.
