18/7/2018 16:08 | I'm not sure, daffy. You're making several assumptions on things you cannot be certain about. Do your homework, mate. You've got this all wrong. | 1tcm1
18/7/2018 15:15 | If PP were going to have a deal with the NHS, they would have had it by now, when there is no competition. Yet the only patient they have treated thus far (the case that Woody tweeted out and that had a lot of media coverage) was a self-funder, a rich businessman who was able pay for the treatment himself. The NHS had declined to refer him for proton beam therapy, and presumably if he had any private insurance it didn't cover the treatment. Once the Manchester NHS centre opens later this year and the London one in 2020 they will have no chance of getting any referrals. Can't see where they are going to get their customers from. WPCT back under 80p again today. That Autolus bounce didn't last long. | daffyjones
18/7/2018 08:37 | Daffy if you are right about this, (I have no reason to doubt you) then Proton is playing directly at the Woodford narrative of good ideas falling apart through a lack of due diligence as regards the nuts and bolts and the nitty gritty. So often the ideas are good but the WCPT companies find themselves in an overcrowded marketplace and they are unable to establish profitibility. Frequently the denoument is the MCP request winging its way to Woodford Towers. 'More cash please Mr Woodford!' | ltcm1
18/7/2018 01:20 | Would that the world was as simple as these morons make out. Poor as church mice, all the whiinnies-shareproph And they charge suckers for their rotten advice!!!! | brummieloser
17/7/2018 19:04 | Proton Partners is a real worry. They are building four proton beam therapy centres in the UK at massive expense, yet they have no contracts with the NHS to provide treatment. The NHS is building two proton therapy suites itself in Manchester and London so they will be able to provide proton beam therapy "in-house" rather than sending patients abroad. This ruins the business case for PP. They charge £60k per patient, which made financial sense compared to the £110k the NHS was spending to send patients to America for treatment, but will be hugely overpriced compared to the much lower cost of treatment at Christie's or UCL hospitals once their machines are up and running. Unless PP can get private insurance companies or self-funders to pay for their product, they have no potential customers. | daffyjones
17/7/2018 08:30 | Woodford tweeting about Proton beam therapy yet again!!! How about tweeting out about a WPCT company turning a profit, actually making some money for a change??? I bet Woody will tweet out something about Netflix today and how the markets are turning. If so I don't know how he has the gall to do so given the coven of cash guzzlers in his own back yard. Has anyone considered reporting WPCT to trading standards for mis-description? WPCT should be reclassified as a charity as all Woodford does is give money away. | ltcm1
16/7/2018 16:48 | Purp back to 300. Is the Unicorn starting to look more like a dog with a cone stuck on its head??? | ltcm1
16/7/2018 10:26 | We are in the doldrums here. Unlike Woodford's GlobalYachtingGroup (GYG), which has hit very stormy waters. There is talk the ship might even go down with the loss of all hands. How many busted flushes does that make now for Woodford??? | ltcm1
12/7/2018 16:01 | LiquidKid, you cannot gate an Investment Trust. The discount could go to 100% in theory and/or the shares could be suspended. I do agree with your comments on the idiotic conspiracy theorists. | chucko1
12/7/2018 15:22 | Allied Minds are having a 90% off sale today. Someone should tell Neil Woodford. | ltcm1
12/7/2018 12:10 | What names does Tom W post under ? It's a shame he doesn't post under his own name . | haroldthegreat
11/7/2018 09:12 | We are plummeting again. Next stop 75p. | ltcm1
11/7/2018 01:29 | Well, that's fine then. Cheers. Good-bye. | solonic
11/7/2018 00:02 | Solonic, what I "want" is irrelevant to the analysis which you have misunderstood by 180 degrees. Which is even sadder given your stated experience of these things. I could go on but I really cannot be bothered as you are simply too stupid or pompous to continue with. Any independent person reading this short thread would likely be baffled by your response and why you didn't think more carefully about it before committing it. | chucko1
10/7/2018 17:54 | ‘For many cancers, the cost of proton beam therapy wouldn’t be justified.' Just read this in the Daily Mail, article is on Woodford's twitter account. Is Woodford funding another white elephant, worthy as the venture is??? | ltcm1
10/7/2018 17:24 | Liquidity event? In my corporate life I have been through one of those many times, having been the object of a takeover, taken a company private, floated a company several times, so I should know much better than any parasite onlooker, such as yourself, about such events. I was laughing because shareprofitless needs liquid events like a hole in the head. Your mangy little shorts would be shot to pieces. It's incredible and risible that you of all people should desire such a happening. But then I guess it's obvious that you are clueless about what is beneficial for you. Stick to the demotic Guruese: it's the only thing you understand. | solonic
10/7/2018 14:37 | Solonic, your laughter re: "liquidity event" speaks volumes. Bloomberg definition: A liquidity event is most commonly associated with founders and venture capital firms cashing in on their seed or early round investments. The first handful of employees of the companies also stand to reap the windfall of their company going public or being bought out by another company that wants their innovative product or service. In the case of an acquisition , the founders and employees of the firm are usually retained. There would be an initial liquidity event and then additional ... If you have not realised that that is one of the major things that WPCT is looking to achieve, do you actually know anything? At all? You appear to be astonishingly stupid, so much so that I really do wonder if I have been missing something. Remember, without liquidity, WPCT might go bust. | chucko1
10/7/2018 13:49 | My informant at share price HQ told me it happened 43 times last week. Just look in PURP and WPCT threads for timings. | solonic |
