Hi Vaston

The link you gave leads to "video unavailable"

Do you have an alternative link please? Also, who was speaking on the video?

Container shipping is coming down in price. I am not sure what the prices give you. If it is the price for moving one container it seems steep even at its cheapest. But I guess if you are sending high value or many items it is not unreasonable.

They harvest unsuspecting investors’ money. There’s a new crop on a regular basis.

If there was news of a deal with a partner who could buy the land to progress the carbon credits project I could understand a rise. But we have not had confirmation of that and so as we stand I think any rise must relate to the established timber side of the business.

It could relate to higher global container movement.

I think they have usually sold wood for furniture but have been moving over to selling carbon credits for the last couple of years. There seems to be more money in selling carbon credits than selling timber.

At the time of writing the share price rise today is showing as 16.9%

I don't think of WBI as a leaky ship in terms of news and the over-egged bogus articles have been well and truly debunked and so perhaps the rise is simply a reflection of an expectation that timber sales have been at strong levels since the last update, even if not for stoves.

Thank you for confirming that Blue, I was not sure as the uses of their timber are not all set out in the website, just examples of some of its application.

But if more wood is being burned that does mean higher carbon emissions and so more demand for forests to offset them.

From the Guardian

"Burning wood releases more CO2 than gas, oil and even coal for the same amount of heat, so to make it climate neutral we need an increase in forests"

I think that could well be relevant to WBI.

It is reported that in Germany firewood and wood pellets have gone up by an annual rate of 85.7 per cent in August, while wood chips and chips have more than doubled in price. They are being used for heating too.

There is also a rise in the import of wood fired stoves.

I read in the FT today that in Germany the price of wood has doubled as it is being used as an alternative to oil and gas for heating.

I am not sure if WBI supply wood for fuel? But there has been a nice share price rise today so far on the same day the news from Germany was reported,

It does seem odd that the article is pursuing a narrative that's been denied directly by the company

If it’s ramping, it’s not worked looking at the share price.
