So...what does the latest stage of the "cash return" bring us?

£1.40 a share and a reduction of our holdings by 7/9ths...(which is £1.44 per share at current prices)

Or have i read it wrongly??

any bets as to what will happen to the share price after the buy back/ cancellation ? Will the company be " worth the same value" after cancelling 30% of the shares . There will certainly be a change of cash in hand .

fairly large volume at 625, is it due for the next level down ? so much for the cash return .

I posted my take on the tender offer over here:

Does anyone else concur, or have an alternative view?

THIS CO. MUST HAVE MONEY TO BURN,THIS IS THE CRAZIEST AND MOST COMPLICATED CORPORATE ACTION DOCUMENT I HAVE SEEN. THESE GUYS WILL EXPECT TO BE PAID TO ADVISE SHAREHOLDERS TO DO WHAT?

Just seen the terms of the tender offer from my broker. I would like some one to reassure me that I am not going bonkers! The bid price close is 661 and they are offering to buy my shares at anything between 605 and 625 or the strike price which the broker decides - 'it will be the lowest price per share in the price range that will allow JP Morgan Cazenove to purchase the maximum number of Ordinary Share for a total cost not exceeding £1.05 billion'. What's in it for me except to sell my shares at significantly below their current value? Surely I have missed something or how much are Wood paying the broker for this wonderful piece of advice?!

I think it's the thing of Wood family trust selling there shares to Wood Group who then cancel them leaving less total shares at higher value.

I agree and will continue to hold; or sell in the market above £7.

To my mind it will only benefit those who retain their holding, as any large shareholders exiting will be at a discount (currently) so EPS will be enhanced for those that remain.

If you were wanting to sell a huge quantity i guess- read newspaper report on digital look ; the Directors do not intend to participate.

Has anyone got their head round this yet??

Am I right in saying that if the first stage return of cash is fully successfull then there will be 32% less shares in circulation?

Why would you sell your shares (or 32% of them anyway) back to WG at 5% less than the current value?

If I had wanted to sell my shares I would have done it at the time of the disposal when £7+. I was looking forward to receiving a chunky cash payment AND to continue holding all my shares. This is a dissappointing outcome.
