21/10/2021 17:42 | So am i correct in reading this as the ex founder/ceo is selling 10% of his A shares and getting a loan over 50% of his others underwritten by Goldmansachs to invest in other companies! Is that right?? | conwyrebel
21/10/2021 17:29 | I wonder when the rumours started in the City over the above transactions? | stutes
21/10/2021 15:31 | How can Wise be hit for over 10% drop when it is trading in line with expectations while Barclays is seeing some of its core businesses facing stiff fintech competition. How long will IB gain from M&A or ipo if Evergrande crashes or delta variant causes another lockdown? What about tapering fallout? Overall I'd rather be in a growth firm rather than a mature one. | stutes
21/10/2021 09:50 | Wise is trading in line eith expectation yet the share price has fallen 9% in recent days. Yet Barclays has surprised the market re IB but if you drill down the bank side is seeing significant drop in credit card revenue/profit. When the gravy days from IB are over, how will the bank side counter the drop in profit if fintech has successfully taken business away from the bank? I remain sceptical of the bounce in bank shares. | stutes
21/10/2021 01:28 | Despite a long list of contact addresses, so far no response to a simple enquiry. Where is the shareholder page with current holdings? | 1pencil
20/10/2021 23:21 | Don't agree | neftanik
20/10/2021 20:21 | PayPal is rumoured to be in talks to buy Pintetest. If the deal goes through how will competition react overtime to build up scale? | stutes
20/10/2021 13:00 | No - in this field. I read Jamie Dimon's take on the threat from fintech both big and small to established banks. I think the big banks are opting to concede something to fintech by focusing more on wealth management or, as in the case of, JPM or Goldman Sachs, London retail banking. | stutes
20/10/2021 08:35 | Any of you actually worked in payments? | eaglebeagle
20/10/2021 08:18 | I read the banks have 2/3rds of the foreign currency market and while being more expensive their response to the like of Wise is fast transaction time. Wise has increased its % of instantaneous transaction to 40 and reduced its fee. I think Wise has set the scene for more firms and individuals to switch away from the banks to save significant transaction fees. CFOs of firms should be attracted to Wise to cut cost and beef up profits or cash during post covid19 period. | stutes
19/10/2021 16:24 | If you Google the names of the banks involved the Wise ipo listing : Barclsys Mirgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Citi - if they can sit down and value Wise st £8 or £10 it must surely mean in this environment valuations are hard to arrive at and therefore the best thing is to stop them till 2022 or 2023. | stutes
19/10/2021 16:09 | 60p hit or 6% - we shall see how theestablished High Street banks fare on reporting day. Delta variant is a cause of market nervousness, lower global GDP , failure of UK to agree a Treaty with Europe to cover finance sector, loss of credit card business to buy now pay later firms and more currency fees going away from the banks. It just points to a negative movement in the shares in my opinion. | stutes
19/10/2021 15:12 | That and the fact that the valuation is nuts. Sooner or later that will catch up with the share price I use an exchange company do send money to South America every week and unfortunately WISE just don't cover the countries we use. I guess it's not cost effective for them. | liam1om
19/10/2021 15:04 | Today's drop in share price makes me wonder how much of it is driven by the banks that are facing falls in currency revenue? | stutes
19/10/2021 14:39 | Cost is the main differentiator between Fx services. (providing the systems work of course). Speed of receipt, ease of use, ease to set-up, etc., are all 2nd place & less. So by continuing to cut their fees, they will continue to "steal" customers from elsewhere. With their on-line systems set-up there is little incremental cost for additional customers.. so cost reduction should be their number 1 priority. There are a few minor enhancement they could consider, such as the ability to place a limit exchange order to save the customer needing to continually monitor the rate, but overall it's a great package. | steve73
19/10/2021 14:35 | US opens and in seconds Wise is marked down 55p - makes you wonder why we bother trading shares shead of the US opening? | stutes
19/10/2021 13:33 | You could be right but as a disruptor with low cost, what are the established firms going to do? I think of Wise, as the Ryanair/Easyjet of currency broker fees - with the focus on the customer to save them money. | stutes
19/10/2021 12:32 | Sounds more like a desperate grasp to keep growing | eaglebeagle

19/10/2021 12:01 | Since July, several directors exercised options at nil cost and sold all at 978p to 1023p!! | thaiger
19/10/2021 10:56 | Today's results point to me as a grab for market share at the expense of higher cost competitors | stutes
19/10/2021 07:47 | "our take rate is expected to be slightly lower in the second half of FY2022 compared to the first half as a result of price reductions, but we continue to expect revenue growth of low to mid 20s on a percentage basis for FY2022 over FY2021. " Not sure that will go down well. | liam1om
18/10/2021 14:48 | Going to have to be quite outstanding in this market and on the rating WISE is on. | liam1om
18/10/2021 10:28 | Looking forward to the reports tomorrow ... forward guidance is the interesting piece | tantanmam
15/10/2021 16:51 | Of course when rates and fees to customer are low, so profitability can be low. So the question of scalability to profit is a tricky one | eaglebeagle |
