It was general statement

1. if no takeover, you can buy much lower

2. if takeover goes through, first stall in price will be profit taking bailout, driving price a bit lower than today anyway (might take a week or two)

3. Nothing to stop anyone else bidding, and bidding higher. Caesers words were not an instruction that must be taken.

My preferred route is a backroom deal done with some outside crew, 320p to 350p. Nothing official. A nice quiet deal. Hill board knock back the Caeser recommendation. Price gets crucified. The backroom deal lads can start buying 50% lower or more, for 2-6 months

Then make their big offer, and essentially takeover Hill for free in accounting terms. Everyone a winner

Ive truly no idea .

Hard to second guess those things. Can only look to risk on position of whichever type on both scenarios.

Tell you what though, i do not hold stocks for long periods. However if WMH got a good battering from a no T/O, id actually buy to hold

Think it can do ok on its own. Needs to offload most uk stuff, but i doubt very much, yanks would end any partnership and let competition slip in regardless.

However, if you look at terms via EL, im not exactly sure how Caesars can really end it anyway
