First time i've seen a statement on multiple acquiring parties. There were about 64 fields here from memory so it could offer a potential deal for WCAT considering the involvement of M. Kroupeev. Could be that S.Sudan wants to widen the number of oil companies into the country for wider deals/investment. (Who knows - but that's the latest).

From SAVE yesterday

South Sudan

As previously announced, Savannah continues discussions with the various stakeholders around an alternative transaction structure in relation to the proposed acquisition of the ex-PETRONAS assets in South Sudan. Savannah management believe that any transaction which would ultimately be completed would be on significantly different terms to that envisioned when the transaction was initially announced in December 2022 with the likely involvement of multiple acquiring parties.

We continue to believe that a transaction could be potentially accretive to the Company and expect to provide a further update on progress made by mid to late December 2024.

The assets themselves are estimated to have produced an average of 81 Kbopd on a gross basis in 2024 to end October, reduced from approximately 150 Kbopd in FY 2023, given the prolonged downtime experienced by the Bashayer Pipeline Company ("BAPCO") pipeline, which exports a significant portion of the country's oil production.

WCAT ain’t “too quiet”!!!

It’s a potless shell that can’t afford a transaction let alone do one. And run by Mandy Mitty.

It will keep doing further discounted raises to pay its working cap requirements for regulatory reasons and then fade away…….

Re the proposed pipeline through Ethiopia S. Sudans received an $738M loan to build a road connecting the two countries which is to be repaid in cash and oil.
WCAT may be too quiet (imo) but S. Sudan seems to be making a few good moves itself.

Sudan Oil Pipeline to South Sudan Ready for Restart after Repairs Completed

Sudan’s military-led government announced Sunday that it has repaired a pipeline connecting to South Sudan, paving the way for the resumption of oil exports.

The pipeline, which had been out of service for eight months due to a blockage, is now ready to transport crude oil to Sudan’s Red Sea coastline, with no specific timeline provided.

The announcement marks a significant step toward reviving the country’s economy, which has been heavily impacted by the ongoing civil war.

Prior to the blockage, the cross-border pipeline carried over 150,000 barrels of crude oil per day from South Sudan to the Republic of Sudan, famously known as Sudan.

The pipeline disruption left the two countries facing financial losses contributing to rising fuel prices in the region.

The repair of the pipeline comes amidst ongoing efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Sudan caused by the civil war, which has displaced millions of people and led to widespread suffering.

Hi all. I'm a very large holder over at Savannah Enegy and as soon as the South Sudan RNS landed here I began building a stake at .18p and upwards. I now hold 10m here at an average of .2p just in case anything should come of the SS MOU.GLA

Does seem to be their time for good news. Djibouti has offered South Sudan an alternative port for oil exports seems they want their business too.

"The proposal was delivered by Djibouti’s Foreign Minister Mahamoud Youssouf during a meeting with South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir in Juba on Wednesday. Youssouf highlighted the potential benefits of developing a new oil corridor linking South Sudan through Ethiopia to Djibouti, emphasizing its potential to boost regional economic integration."

Will give them another route for their oil which can't be bad.

For interest only - I posted this on the SAVE bb earlier given that they were in discussion with Petronas to buy the assets and now also switching to do a possible alternative deal.

' Savannah would be well aware of who their competitors are if any.

As for WCAT. Might be laughable to some but look deeper

Michael Kroupeev is an advisor to WCAT and i note he bought a very modest £50k investment over a year ago.

He owns Waterford Investment. He turned Emerald Energy a serial under performer in Colombia oil by making a strategic investment and getting them involved in Syria which had similar discoveries across the border in Iraqi Kurdistan and not long before they had significant discoveries/production.

15-16 years ago I think he made £138m turning Emerald into a 25 or else 50 bagger from memory which was sold to Sinochem. (Emeralds Colombia assets were attacked/ burned down later).

He didn't have the same luck however with Sterling Energy in Kurdistan which then lay stagnant for a number of years while Waterfordy exited and ex Tullow people and others turned it into Afentra.

"The owner of Waterford, Mikhail Kroupeev will join WCAT as a strategic adviser to its Board of Directors and Waterford will also take a nominal equity stake in Wildcat*.

The Waterford Group ("Waterford") was established in 1995 as an investment vehicle for Mr Michael Kroupeev.

Waterford invests mainly in up-stream petroleum projects and since its inception, the fund has invested in over a dozen such projects, both public and private. In London, the company has invested in listed petroleum companies including Emerald Energy, Dana Petroleum, Anglo-Siberian, EuroSov Petroleum, Gulfsands Petroleum, Sterling Energy, Petroceltic and Sibir Energy.

Wildcat will be able to draw upon Mr Kroupeev's extensive experience of managing listed oil companies as well as raising finance and negotiating significant petroleum sector deals. Wildcat will seek to leverage the extensive financial and petroleum network Mr Kroupeev has built up over the last 30 years, working with major investors, funds and major oil companies.

Mandhir Singh, Chairman of Wildcat, commented: "The management of Wildcat is delighted to secure the backing of such a successful and experienced partner.
The support provided by Waterford and Mr Kroupeev and their extensive networks will help to accelerate the process of Wildcat becoming a profitable, producing oil company with a high impact exploration division. This relationship will also allow Wildcat to tackle significant oil projects."

It's this relationship i expect that people are missing about how WCAT could possibly be looking at these kind of opportunities no matter how incredible it may seem (It's not). I expect if a deal, any deal whether in Africa, Sudan or South Sudan could be financed as per Emerald Energy if anyone can remember that. While there's 2.8 billion shares in issue in WCAT, the m/cap is only £5m and it's the kind of relationship where Kroupeev could help inject significant financing/placing etc for WCAT as an investment for a similar if not risky high impact return such as Emerald? They will have less than a years cash needs by end of next month

Thus they will need to do another raise before they can file their accounts before October month end.

Obviously they don’t have funds in place to do any transaction given they are a potless cash shell and given current comedic market cap that will likely be 75’ish% discount to prevailing share price at a minimum

Unless Mandy (Walter) Mitty is having a good run on the Uber front with his 300k mile Prius…..

Remarkable how anyone with a brain stays in this daydream of Mandy Mitty tbh!!! There is not any plausible scenario at all which doesn’t savage current shareholders’ interests. Not one! All imho of course.

Can anyone provide any possible scenario where this is NOT a disaster about to happen?
