01/4/2006 18:05 | BTW, Nobody batted an eyelid at Gryphon(Now owned by Woodside)'s 3rd successful well on High Island 52. Sey have a 7.6% royalty interest. The Bart field (Likely 10 million boe recoverable) lies under 1/4 of the High Island 52 block. The remaining 3/4 is owned equally by Sterling and Pan Andean. That 3/4's must be quite prospective and if there's another Bart sized field there it would be Mega for Pan Andean and very nice indeed for SEY. IMHO DYOR | bomfin
01/4/2006 18:02 | It's 30 million BLT. LOL | bomfin
01/4/2006 18:00 | bomfin - found it! | bitterlemontart
01/4/2006 17:55 | "AIM listed Westmount Energy [WTE] still hold some 30 million ordinary shares in Sterling Energy [SEY], representing 2.15% its the issued share capital...." | bitterlemontart
01/4/2006 17:45 | bomfin - how many shares does WTE still have in SEY please? | bitterlemontart
01/4/2006 17:30 | Sterling Energy (SEY) Get a mention in todays Times: "Settlement of a dispute on production sharing agreements between Woodside Petroleum and the new Government of Mauritania saw Sterling Energy, which is active in the region, firm ½p to 25p. Heavy turnover prompted talk that Invesco is adding to its 24 per cent stake." Chart breakout looking a possibility. | bitterlemontart
01/4/2006 09:40 | "Westmount said its investments continue to perform well. In January, Westmount provided a 500,000 stg convertible loan to AIM-listed CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC to fund the latter's exploration programme in the Chaco Basin in North West Paraguay. Westmount's other investment include shares in Sterling Energy, Desire Petroleum PLC and the unquoted Eclipse Energy Co Ltd." | bitterlemontart
31/3/2006 16:22 | bomfin - correct! | bitterlemontart
31/3/2006 16:17 | We shouldn't be that surprised. There's quite a lot of us thought it's been worth £2/share for quite a while. imho | bomfin
31/3/2006 16:08 | bomfin - must therefore be soon....well the share price thinks so! | bitterlemontart
31/3/2006 14:24 | Yes I'd noticed it was down for 1st quarter 2006. Project fits in nicely with government desire to cut carbon emissions. imho dyor | bomfin
31/3/2006 14:20 | BLT & Bomfin Any time soon eclipse should get get government clearance for the Ormonde Project, according to the timetable on its website. Hopefully flotation will take place soon afterwards - but the implications for Westmount are still a mystery. | whackford
31/3/2006 12:36 | If the unquoted Eclipse Energy Co Ltd goes and gets itself quoted then it's Mega IMHO DYOR :-) | bomfin
31/3/2006 12:07 | Westmount Energy / WTE 132-133p + 6p | bitterlemontart
31/3/2006 12:00 | bomfin - reckon that amongst various positives for WTE....that....the unquoted Eclipse Energy Co Ltd....is going to get itself....quoted!!!! | bitterlemontart
31/3/2006 11:56 | BLUE....skies! | bitterlemontart
30/3/2006 20:20 | "Westmount said its investments continue to perform well. 30/3/2006 20:17 | This was just splendid, read it!!! | t0rnado
30/3/2006 20:15 | fingers xxd and others - if or preferably when SEY breaks through the resistance level of 25p....remember a previously recommended stock from this thread....WTE....who have already made their chart break out and who still own shed loads of SEY stock! | bitterlemontart
30/3/2006 08:00 | As I retired to bed last night about 11.30pm. The Mrs was looking quite alluring. I have a bit of a throat infection though so I decided to run the Westmount 'opportunity!' by her instead. LOL Too much information!! | bomfin
29/3/2006 20:15 | "Eclipse anouncement and pops she goes" Maybe just maybe....soon!?!?! | bitterlemontart
29/3/2006 18:09 | Them trades looked mighty fine today, just need the Eclipse anouncement and pops she goes. :>))))) Mick | mickinvest
26/3/2006 11:27 | fingers xxd - and if you're [quite rightly looking at SEY] do not forget WTE....who are a very large shareholder of SEY....as well as potential high flyer DES.... | bitterlemontart
23/3/2006 10:30 | Yes, surprisingly quiet, but could happen as you say. Assuming the Ormonde project can run at 70% capacity and they can get £50/ megawatt hour I make that total revenues over 20 year life of project of £1.2 billion. Capex £220 million and opex for 20 years possibly about the same. IMHO DYOR. That could give a net present value for the project of £380 million :-) IMHO DYOR Obviously I'm missing something. | bomfin
23/3/2006 10:19 | Had hoped to hear something on Eclipse floatation but perhaps it will appear from nowhere when we least expect it. | cwa1 |
