25/9/2007 12:01 | 3.762268m CDS shares gone thru at 10:44 today. That should ease your mind Des. It's got to be WTE offloading 100% of its holding. How's that for a spot, fellow WTE holders? | whackford
24/9/2007 16:47 | No one rushing to buy any today, unless there is a trade lasting several days. SEY rose a little, though. | dogberry202000
22/9/2007 13:28 | Five minutes after I tried out a notional trade of 5000 shares, without a problem, I could not get a 1000 shares without going for a negotiated trade. I had been after 2000 shares to round out my overall holding. I'd say there should be a rise on monday. | dogberry202000
22/9/2007 12:37 | dogberry, any idea how many shares were available when you bought or was 1000 the maximum? cheers Mick | mickinvest
22/9/2007 12:25 | Lol! Yes, a mistake. 1k! 1m. would be getting on for 20% of the shares! LOL! Wouldn't mind it, though. | dogberry202000
21/9/2007 23:07 | 1000k is a million dogberry!! Surely some mistake. | papillon
21/9/2007 22:06 | Measly 1000k??!! Your wallet is bigger than mine then... | cwa1
21/9/2007 17:58 | It suddenly got difficult to pick up stock. Missed out on the cheap shares. Had to top up with a measly 1000k at the end of the day. Still, this one is a keeper. | dogberry202000
21/9/2007 16:16 | SEY up 20%. No movement on WTE. Strange. | papillon
21/9/2007 14:25 | Hi Jumbo, you want a couple of these? Nobody going to join me, picked up 10k and 15k available at 79p last I looked? Mick | mickinvest
07/9/2007 22:06 | hi mick hope u r well re nick [hd] | jumbo66
07/9/2007 13:54 | They could have given him fresh ones at a lower rate I presume and reason I'm satisfied Whackford if that makes sense? Sure a bit of the weakness has been due to the chairman's death so would have been a bit poor to offer his replacement options at a lower price. Mick | mickinvest
07/9/2007 13:31 | Mickinvest - not quite sure why you make that remark. Why should DW's loss equate to Levison's gain? The question is "Does Levison deserve it?" The answer to that question is "He might, if he does good job for Westmount re. Eclipse". We shall have to wait and see. | whackford
07/9/2007 10:46 | Seen the RNS for director options and thought here we go, gravy train is leaving the station but quite surprised with its content, actually seems very acceptable :>) Mick | mickinvest
30/8/2007 13:27 | Looking a bit brighter, must admit tempted on SEY at moment but then was tempted a lot higher up so trying to time the turn on it(like I didn't here!) | mickinvest
17/8/2007 15:23 | Blimey! Now we are getting up to date. I like the "Contact Us" feature - it could be useful. Des, as you say not much in "Our Business", but the determined viewer can find out more by looking at the "Documents" page. Perhaps they will enlarge on Westmount's shareholdings in due course. Also, I think the Board are currently reviewing strategy (according to an RNS of a few months ago) and I would expect the Board to announce the conclusion of this review in due course. Amodeo is the holding of one of the Saville family (estate agency) I believe - he has had the holding for a few years. | whackford
17/8/2007 11:17 | We now have a website ... www.westmount-energy Not a lot on it but better than nothing. | deswalker
16/8/2007 13:38 | Desire down again:- Agreed could be long term value but cost of financing up and the smell of burning in the air:- If holding probably too late to sell but if not, probably further to fall. (imo & dyor) | pugugly
15/8/2007 17:37 | whackford, Amazing you should say that about the bar chart. I thought I noticed the exact same change just a couple of days ago but wasn't sure so discounted it as old info. But you noticing it too makes me think it has been updated recently and so early 2008 does indeed look to be the start date. I agree that a flotation prior to the start of construction would seem likely. Here's hoping anyway. Once it does float we will then have a much cleaner NAV calculation which should show a sizeable uplift on the one with Eclipse in at Book Value. My estimate is that our stake is worth at least double the BV and maybe closer to three times but that's just a guess. It could be much more - how do you value a company with a 25 year 250MW power station with a CAPEX of £280 mill and the expertise to roll it out elsewhere ?? Today's fall is purely based on SEY weakness and the overhang. It can change on a sixpence. Rgds, Des | deswalker
15/8/2007 17:09 | Des - take a look at Eclipse Energy website. I looked a couple of days ago. It seemed to me to be the same as before- no fresh news - but I thought that the bar-chart timetable had been adjusted to show construction starting early (around Feb) 2008. If that is new, then I would have thought Eclipse would float before construction starts. Am I right about this, do you think? | whackford
15/8/2007 11:08 | Agreed whackford. Rationality is out of the window at the moment. SEY looks in good shape to me (although it must be the most annoying BB on ADVFN, fido and a couple of other posters apart), things are starting to stir in the Falklands (probably involving DES) and Eclipse to the market in the next year with a bit of luck. I'm not bothered about CDS and would like them to get their profits out asap to bolster their cash for other investments. Cash is a touch tight but I don't want to see much new money put to work above and beyond what they can get out of CDS. The other three holdings should be left to mature IMO. The drop in WTE's share price (on virtually zero volume) is annoying but irrelevant if you believe in the portfolio. It is the fundamentals that will drive this in the next couple of years and there'll be no stock around once it's on the up. Still waiting for the website. Ought to be an RNS by the deadline date (next monday). Des | deswalker
15/8/2007 10:50 | Anybody who sells now must be desperate or "cuckoo". Though continuing slippage in Sterling is disappointing. But most of the oil minnows are getting a slamming. | whackford
15/8/2007 10:02 | Largest holding SEY now falling out of bed - Probalby could not be sold in the current market except at a very significant discount. I still expect a substantial fall in Westmount. | pugugly
10/8/2007 08:16 | Des - yes, now trading at 30%+ discount to underlying NAV. And most of the portfoio has good rise potential. | whackford
06/8/2007 12:19 | My hunch is that it's the late chairman's estate being unwound that is creating an overhang. The thing about WTE is that once this clears, Eclipse floats and/or things start happening at SEY and DES then there will be no stock around whatsoever and the share price will rise accordingly. These are bargain levels IMO. | deswalker |
