luminoso: thanks for the reply. I appreciate where you are coming from. That was my position, too, until very recently: feeling that potential reward outweighed potential risks.

Highest on my own list of risks is Management's track record of over-promising and under-delivering, going right back to the days of the "imminent" East African Airport.

I thought at the very least it would have been reasonable to have had some good news on the Ferry front by now. Not managing to deliver that has increased my doubts about whether they will pull anything off - sufficient to tip the balance, in my own case, that I no longer have the stomach for holding out for anything else.

The chart is at an interesting juncture. The weakness is concerning. However it may be nothing more than a reflection of wider market weakness. Nevertheless, support needs to hold. Further weakness on volume would suggest to me that those closer to action on the ground have an idea of what is coming (or not coming, so to speak).

Best of luck and I hope fortune favours those braver than me.

Sorry, saucepan, got no answers. I am a simple soul and am here only for the company making potential of the airport deal in the Middle East. From what I gather Sierra Leone is a nightmare of a country to do business in ( nothing to do with Ebola by the way ). I expect nothing from the ferry in the near future. There could be any amount of reasons why it is not back in profitable service. If someone's palms need greasing, there are far better uses for WSG's money elsewhere in the meantime. It's all about the security business for me and there remains a 50/50 chance of a stonkingly good deal being announced any time.
Edit. You could contact the company direct about it, I guess.

I don't mean to harp on about this, but I cannot help but feel something does not add up. Before the debacles of the bent prop shaft and then the hull damage, the story seemed to be that there would be "sea trials" and then (presuming sea trials were successful) it would be "all systems go" and the ferry would start taking bookings.

Subsequently, there is also the further twist of the purchase of a back up vessel, which arrived in Freetown a good while ago now. What is stopping this boat going into service?

I hoped someone would have some answers.

They're waiting to buy enough boats so they can place them end to end and people can walk across. No, sorry, no idea.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why the ferry cannot be up and running by now (or have a firm commencement date), other than there is a further complication behind the scenes that we have not yet been told about?

A nice surprise to come back and see the penny/quarter loss gone and just the quarter now.....why did I not summise that was going to be the case..slightly predictable at times this share, the chart does want to mimick this for some reason.
I believe this 27p+ to be the bottom of this trend,,any thoughts?
