17/1/2011 12:44 | 5 days ago Acquisition news lifted energy investment company Wasabi Energy 0.25p to 2.7p. It has bought a geothermal power plant in Husavik, Northern Iceland, which will use Wasabi's Kalina Cycle technology to produce a safe and clean source of electricity which Wasabi will then sell into the Icelandic national grid. 17/1/2011 12:36 | Good tip from Midas in the Mail on Sun yesterday. It has certainly pushed the price up--I hope it holds. Joanne Hart says one for investors willing to take a risk --I like it because it can go in my isa. | moormoney
17/1/2011 12:21 | Afternoon all, Phil, excellent background research notes. The technology is now strategically placed and appropriate in light of high costs of existing energy sources and methods. In addition, the facility to expand on this technology is within the facility of WASA 2010/2011 and I hope for and expect a solid growth patern for this and any other company which undertakes generating energy inn this manner. I hold from IPO and have great hopes for the newly positioned and strategically placed WAS in 2011, forecasting an share price growth of approx c300% in the next 6 month. This is purely my opinion and research that this is based on as well as increasing demands for renewable energy etc. Good luck all, Phoenix | aphoenix
17/1/2011 11:22 | Smith99 Don't look like a spike to me. General volume picking up over a period of time, well since Oct 2010 | hyper al
17/1/2011 11:09 | phil2003 Thanks for the info. Looks like the technology is starting to get recognised. I like the way Wasabi are licensing their technology, by getting an initial lump sum, then a payment per KWh produced. Potential for some big news stories for this one. | hyper al
17/1/2011 11:09 | Nice to see WAS moving in the right direction, after all these years, my brother still has an investment in these, so will be well pleased. Rodders | rodspotty
