09/3/2016 10:48 | Still attracting buyers, results on the 16th I believe, talk of placing etc. | battlebus2
22/2/2016 18:15 | Fwiw, post placing i have no strong opinion on the company other than a leopard doesnt change its spots (v rarely). More than 50% chance of another placing in another years time if i were to guess. | shaunstar
22/2/2016 18:13 | Battlebus, i wont argue the merits of shorters being the only effective regulators, point out where naive investors are about to take a bath. Thats for another thread. Why do you doubt a placing below the current price? Why on earth not? The company has no money and will take whatever it is offered by bucket shops. And i have to point out your error....the company is not winning contracts. Did you watch the interim results webcast? Average deal value was falling at the same time the number of deals was also falling. It shows it right there on the company presentation. Shaun | shaunstar
21/2/2016 09:32 | All entitled to our opinions itchycrack, they are winning contracts and cutting costs, not a short term trade this but imho these could me much higher than the current share price. DYOR just my musings. Could turn out to be one of my worst investment decisions who knows. | battlebus2
21/2/2016 09:02 | There is nothing in that last update to be positive about - new sales are weak and can be deferred or cancelled at the click of a mouse. And this is before the read bloodbath in tech has started - gobal recession this year. Many of the services they provide are now available on the Azure or AWS platforms as standard pay-as-you-go services. Just as Machine Learning was the preserve of specialist companies, this is now a commodity service on AWS, Azure and Google. There is no real growth prospects here anymore - its been the perfect asymetric trade. No indication of contract values - means they are likely to be low. At current market cap they are still way overvalued. All IMHO of course. | itchycrack
20/2/2016 12:43 | Some of us have been buying as the price falls so not expecting a tip. | battlebus2
20/2/2016 11:51 | Friday buying, Sunday tipping? | she-ra
19/2/2016 14:53 | BB2....I tend to agree about instis and into what pot does that money flow into ? Do they use it for their 'admin' pot or do fundholders get the benefit ? | davidosh
19/2/2016 14:40 | Davidosh I just find it all distasteful that Insts etc can loan shares, not for me. Shaun it's far from over as you say but I doubt a placing would be much lower than the current share price. | battlebus2
19/2/2016 14:20 | BB2.....I am not so sure ethics can be used as an argument against shorting. Is it ethical for spivvy brokers (who in essence are the City equivalent of second hand car dealers) to puff up share prices in illiquid stocks so they can have a better and more lucrative platform to sell stock into ? Nobody has seen any news leading to WAND moving from 78p to £1.83 but it certainly spiked over two weeks and is now almost back at square one. Those are perfect conditions for WAND to do yet another fundraise but not necessarily suggesting WAND is doing any better in the world of business. How this company was ever valued at nearly a billion is beyond me !!? | davidosh
19/2/2016 14:18 | Don't assume i've made money Battlebus :-) Also it's not over yet.... ;-) | shaunstar
19/2/2016 11:40 | Well i'm down an average 22% but as i've said i'm mostly a long term investor and expect to see these a lot higher over time but well done on your short, it's not a game for me as i view it as unethical. | battlebus2
19/2/2016 11:23 | Dropped 40% in one week..... i think this is playing out just how i said it would and im expecting placing to be currently underway, to be announced with results in March, Shaun | shaunstar
15/2/2016 21:46 | Most likely but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, or what dilution. Other options are possible, still a long term buy imv but dyor etc applies. That's my last word on the subject GLAH. | battlebus2
15/2/2016 21:32 | Just read this small Steve Moore piece on Wandisco The comments echo the way i feel but i am mostly surprised that Edison (normally inanely optimistic) concede that Wandisco will need to raise more money. Without a raise beforehand, FY results on 16th March will not show the company as a going concern. My prediction is for a placing announcement at same time as FY results on the 16th. AIMHO, Shaun | shaunstar
12/2/2016 11:47 | New Edison note out. | battlebus2
11/2/2016 15:21 | Pcge is about to explode | costax1654x
10/2/2016 22:52 | Shaunstar like most of us I've no idea if a placing or other will happen, if it does I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing and should put an end to worries on that front. I do believe they will soon announce more large contracts and partnerships. I don't see any sign of pumping infact the opposite with a lot of fronts pointing out WAND is the greatest short around. Watching trades for a while shows we have buyers who seem to have some confidence in the co. I'm not advocating anyone to buy as always dyor etc but I'm happy with my long term punt so watch this space. | battlebus2
10/2/2016 19:40 | I am with you battlebus, the first lot I bought at 105, and added this morning at 135. GL | modform
10/2/2016 18:33 | Battlebus, you seem a pretty successful investor from seeing you post on advfn in the past. My views are clear on wand but im surprised you dont come to the same conclusion. What are your thoughts to make you bullish? Do you doubt a placing? As for large trades...ive no idea on this kind of thing but id assume part of the pump is 'friendly' brokers putting clients discretionary cash in, or directors selling the story to some other holders of money without a home..... Again im guessing but i always imagined thats half the secret to getting the pump going... | shaunstar
10/2/2016 17:10 | In sitting on the fence here but some big trades today. 30k plus. A lot to invest in a company going bankrupt! | acefromspace
10/2/2016 15:01 | Well he's entitled to his views as am i to totally disagree :)) | battlebus2 |
