09/10/2007 15:53 | more about the stance of the UK Government: Why we all need to go green (03 October 2007 10:49) /... Such is the UK Government's commitment that its 2003 Energy White Paper set a further target for the UK to reduce carbon emissions by 60% and to create a low-carbon economy by 2050 through a combination of energy efficiency in the short term and use of renewable resources in the long term. Among the Government's financial incentives, it is providing £150m for energy-efficient measures, renewables and enhanced capital allowances. 29/9/2007 06:42 | MORE INFO ON VPHASE PLC Voltage Control is a device that controls incoming voltage to a property to a set point, which it claims can save 10% of electricity used by domestic products such as TVs and washing machines. The device is placed in a fusebox and is expected to attract the attention of new homebuilders, those involved in social housing and utility firms. Voltage Control, a type of transformer, is expected to role out during the middle of next year following independent tests to confirm its safety and energy saving claims. Following admission to the junior market, expected in the last week of September, Energetix will own 55.1% of the new company to be renamed VPhase. | ![]() sagem |
