18/4/2023 08:08 | Well done igoe, you have probably made £100 today. Whoopie | ayl30
18/4/2023 08:02 | In November Volex said that recent acquisitions were returning 22.4% ROI and that they were confident of maintaining margins between 9% and 10% as they worked towards achieving the 5 year goal of $1.2bn revenue. The message is still the same. I'm happy with the way the company is performing and I live in hope that others will at some stage feel the same and the share price will respond accordingly. | valhamos
18/4/2023 07:57 | I have owned and traded this stocks since below 50p in size. You predicted last year there would be an imminent recession that our grandchildren’ | ijamlon
18/4/2023 07:52 | You've sold at the bottom, it just shows your knowledge..😳 Just shows how paranoid folks can become, when a share price falls for no reason... | igoe104
18/4/2023 07:51 | Oh dear, think you are jumping to conclusion here, you don't know why I sold or what I did, or had todo, with the money do you? Also my commitment to this share is shown by me retaining a stake, if I thought it was a basket case then I would have sold the lot! Please don't judge others by your lack of knowledge | ayl30

18/4/2023 07:44 | My feeling here is they've taken a very different approach to expectations management this time. Previously there were a lot of hints and drip feeds to the brokers. Hence you'd get a run up ahead of numbers and then a bit of a slow response to good news on the day. The fact that no broker is ready with a report yet, the share price has languished, and this board is full of bears tells you how much pent up upside is out there. | ijamlon
18/4/2023 07:42 | Another great trading update from Volex. The company has consistently performed well over the last few years - something hard to square with the current price weakness. | valhamos
18/4/2023 07:41 | Any ideas on the amount of adjustments? Notes: 1. Underlying operating profit is before adjusting items which are one-off in nature and significant (such as restructuring costs, impairment charges or acquisition-related costs), the amortisation and impairment of acquired intangible assets and share-based payment charges. This trading update is based upon unaudited management accounts information. Forward-looking statements have been made by the Directors in good faith using information available up until the date that they approved this statement. Forward-looking statements should be regarded with caution because of the inherent uncertainties in economic trends and business risks. | aishah
18/4/2023 07:37 | @Ijamlon You have been wrong time and time again for almost 2 years with your hyper bullish comments. The share price of VLX jumps up temporarily every now and then, only to collapse at lower highs. Even the central banks (FED) are officially talking about an expected recession in the next 6-18 months. Look at the smart bond markets where the real game is played out. A recession in the next 18 months is very likely and then what will happen to the cyclical low margin business at VLX? Tesla was still producing massively in the last six months and now the cars are sitting around because no one wants to buy them. Short temporary recoveries remain selling opportunities in an intact downward trend. My opinion. I have not lost any money with Volex, unlike many bulls who are sitting on losses. VlX TU: "Notes: ... 18/4/2023 07:32 | Market got this wrong completely. Totally crazy sell off. | igoe104
18/4/2023 07:28 | When Wordwind (of greatest recession in three generation fame) popped up again at the lows to talk about his new sub 150p target, I did feel pretty sure the bottom had been reached. | ijamlon
18/4/2023 07:26 | Any broker coverage through yet? Interesting what upgrades there may be to earnings etc. Spread bet on the bell I reckon ha ha | johndoe23
18/4/2023 07:25 | Relief for sure. Well done Nat and his many teams! | dougmachin
18/4/2023 07:24 | May buy more anyway when it opens. Great update, ahead of consensus (and I always like companies that say what consensus is, which isn’t always easy for a PI to find), importantly debt is under control and they are also gaining market share. An expanding company, on a PE of about 6 (based on adjusted earnings or 7 if you factor in the debt). What’s not to like? | dr biotech
18/4/2023 07:20 | 250p first port of call short term, 300p plus in time | johndoe23
18/4/2023 07:20 | Nailed it! Its as if the TU was written with the markets concerns in mind; top line and underlying revenue growth, margin rising and net debt being paid down rapidly. This is a stonking buy IMO | rimau1
18/4/2023 07:16 | Exceptional update on every important metric: top line, bottom line, debt, margins, cash flow. Market has been completely wrong on this one. A rise of less than 10% today would still leave a buying opportunity. | ijamlon
18/4/2023 07:14 | Relief!! Should be a big move up today. | johndoe23
18/4/2023 07:10 | Full Year Trading Update in brief Strong organic growth with revenue and profit ahead of expectations Full year trading ahead of market expectations Revenue is now expected to be at least $710 million, representing an increase of at least 15.5%. Underlying operating profit is now expected to be at least $66 million, at least 17.4% higher An increase in gross margins and continued cost control improvements is expected to deliver a strengthening in underlying operating margins to 9.3% (FY2022: 9.1%). My Note Mkt estimate for Revenue was £693 m for 2022 and is/was £748 m for 2023 | togglebrush
18/4/2023 07:09 | Very hard to reconcile the numbers and tone with recent share price action. | blusteradjuster
18/4/2023 07:05 | Fantastic update | siggs44 |
