Debt will be about in the middle of the 2.25-2.75x leverage range. This is not a high ratio compared to peers .. hence the buybacks |
Debt figure?...
Vodafone Italy disposal: The sale of Vodafone Italy to Swisscom AG for €8 billion in cash completed on 31 December 2024. Proceeds have been used to reduce net debt and the Board will target to return up to €2.0 billion via share buybacks once the current programme has completed. |
Update looks sound and start of the next session of buybacks and can see it test 80p again but not sure what will send it higher. So some upside left. |
Looks alike Germany worse than expected, bright spots elsewhere.hTTps://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/VOD/vodafone-q3-fy25-trading-update/16882889 |
Either 74p or 66p... |
LLB, don't forget the VOD tie in with AST SpaceMobile to potentially enable regular mobiles to connect via satellites...
The future's bright. The future's not orange. |
Trading update tomorrow?... |
Interesting times here, 3 merger going ahead, dividend cut in half, Spain/Italy sold, much work to be done on the 5G rollout in the UK, a debt status and buybacks update will be welcome in the next financials 20.05.2025..
We will see how things are going in the morning Q3 TU, nice to see a 70.02 pence UT marked up ready.. :o) |
I will be gappy for 90p even... |
Hopefully 'leaky' news this afternoon |
My analysis shows that Vod is about to go on a 3-5 year rally. |
dplewis will be deeply offended.
He's only joking Rich, don't take offence. |
"Purchaseatthetop (PATT)"
If I were using that term, I'd adjust it to Purchaserightatthetop (PRATT), haha. |
Strong results from Vodacom today. |
dplewis1, aka Purchaseatthetop (PATT) |
Watch out chart jonah has arrived |
First stop 100p. Here she goes. |
Looks like this is the start of the whoosh. |
No - last buyback RNS was over a week ago. The sizes are also small - last few were only 4m or so shares |
so has the volume been ALL from buybacks recently ?? |
I have just two up stocks in a day of relative carnage... BT and VOD. |
The most recent buyback has completed - deadline was Feb 3rd so they finished a bit early. Next tranche to be announced this week with the trading update I would have thought |
i can't see how data is affected by tariffs as/when uk gets hit by them. surely now uk interest rates will come down as will uk inflation in such circumstance, this can only be good for voda? volume was extremely low on friday. everyone has got bored with it (unless they stopped the buybacks?). i think good time for share price appreciation |
