They already talking about 2026 when 2025 has only just started...these brokers just don't get tired of talking about VOD... |
Vodafone progress not priced in, says Deutsche Bank
Vodafone (VOD) is changing for the better but the shares have failed to keep up, says Deutsche Bank.
Analyst Robert Grindle reiterated his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 140p on the Citywire Elite Companies A-rated telecoms giant, which was trading down 0.2% at 68.1p on Thursday afternoon.
He said the shares had remained ’unchanged’ despite reiteration of full-year guidance, the closure of the Italy deal worth €8bn, and UK deal approval synergies.
‘Vodafone finds it hard to get off the investor “out of favour” list as its reputation for disappointment has been repeatedly reinforced – the German “one-off” weakness is the current headwind. However, much has changed and [is] not yet discounted,’ said Grindle.
‘New headwinds may emerge but full-year 2026 is likely to confirm an overall more supportive outlook.’ |
Let it go to 63p b4 even thinking of thinking of buying...LOL. |
Now struggling to hold 68p... |
No share buyback yesterday? |
Is madam taking us for a ride...VOD just attracts too many broker notes very regular... |
Hugoramp...FILTERED AVOID, AVOID ,AVOID... |
Not just what happened to buybacks but what happened to Vantage Tower news and what happened to 3 merger news...it sure made some difference...share price down... |
I agree my average is 105 had it for years |
Another 10m added to the coffers at 68p yesterday |
Just wondering what happened to all the buy backs which should be good for share price? |
Any good news and Voda flutter for couple of minutes and down it goes again. I have no hope here to break even ie 85p any time soon. |
Nearly all day cannot stay above 68.5p... |
Buy is often confused with bye... |
A good buy at this current price??? |
VOD tends to get more broker notes dished out than other shares...some agenda... |
I read the GS vod note a while back. Seemed generally + to telecoms due to increased consol, but reserving judgement with vod until better clarity in Germany. Given the German CEO was suddenly replaced a while back, hopefully vod has recognised poor mgt performance and are/ will be on top of it. Hopefully. |
UBS cuts Vodafone price target to 69 (70) pence - 'neutral'
(not quite 68.5p but that's little consolation) |
If these target prices are based upon technical analysis then who cares. Trend following algo and high frequency trade techniques will led to different target prices than those predicted by fundamentals.
It is revenue, cash flow, profit, dividends going forward I care about.
Are these analyst clowns suggesting that the cash flow, dividends, profit and future revenues are deteriorating or are they merely looking at the shape of the price curve and applying their dark arts?
In an ideal World both should produce similar results, but they never do. |
Funny how it gets closer to 70p and broker note comes out...capping the rise... |
These brokers are playing easy games with VOD kick around... |
Why is everyone disappointed. My 1st trade on this was >200p. I think about 215pAnyone beat that? |
It's coming, keep calm.... |
