20/8/2007 15:18 | I guess that the live and recent matches will not be available to those using the internet in the UK. Would be good if the classic matches archive was available to UK users though | the analyst
20/8/2007 13:16 | So Scrutes; give us an update on the lemming! ;-) | philjeans
20/8/2007 12:43 | freelance that is a very, very good guess. | scrutable
20/8/2007 10:40 | Excellent news and shows the potential of the product to be a killer application. I expect the price to move up substantially now; Lemming will update again; papers tomorrow will mention; the big boys in the industry will take note and VDS could well get tipped in the financial press. Looks very good value after the recent gradual decline from 90p. | philjeans
20/8/2007 10:37 | is your answer - they are already doing the delayed games so id imagine the live games will be now also | stegrego
20/8/2007 10:29 | It doesn't say when it is to begin, may be several seasons away yet? BPL coverage deals are usually agreed for a number of seasons in advance. | pb014
20/8/2007 10:22 | the analyst Good question. Given that Vividas are 'hosting' the deal and doing all the work, I think that the revenues could be as high as 50%. Also expect them to share in the advertising reneues as well. A very good template for other deals to be announced with Fox. | freelance
20/8/2007 09:05 | Agreed with the above - very encouraging to see this sort of deal coming through. Is this the first sports deal to have any real significance? The previous deals were really just trials, imo. Is this another, or is it the real thing. I wonder what it could be worth in terms of revenue? | the analyst

20/8/2007 07:31 | I understand this was a competitive pitch and Vividas won because of their clearly superior technology. Much more to come from this relationship. | freelance
20/8/2007 07:22 | yes, it's all coming together nicely i think. back to 75p+ fairly sharpish I reckon .... | nmf777
20/8/2007 07:20 | seems like a good thing to be doing! | crystball

15/8/2007 20:59 | Good to see Vividas are one of the leaders on the block. On NASDAQ they would be 5 times the market cap! BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HDTV on the web is set to become a reality, according to the latest report from Strategy Analytics' Digital Media Strategies service, Online HD: Disney's ABC Throws Down Gauntlet To Competitors, and Access Providers. The technical barriers to delivering online HDTV are slowly but surely coming down, as evidenced by the recent launch of streamed HD shows on the ABC.com website. The report cites Move Networks, Vividas and Itiva as being among the key technology developers enabling the next generation of web video services. "Most people's experience of web video is characterized by the tiny, pixilated windows familiar to YouTube users," notes David Mercer, Principal Analyst at Strategy Analytics. "But tomorrow's web users will expect service quality much closer to television, and major content owners like Disney recognize that they will have to step up to this mark to win and retain web viewers." This report discusses the implications of high definition video streaming and examines some of the key emerging digital media solution providers. It concludes that access network capacity and control will be key issues in determining whether broadband becomes a viable alternative for HD video and television delivery. Strategy Analytics will present the findings of its latest research at its annual Analyst Forum during this year's IBC in Amsterdam.
