Different views, that makes the market. £2.5bn+ wiped off m/cap . Way oversold but let's see what the 15th TU & analyst call will uncover . I believe this trades north in the Xmas/early new year and sells off as the big day nears UNLESS we see some volume insider trading. |
Going one way :
Reason contractors labour rates going through the roof.
Lack of staff kills this
Delays cost thousands in overheads per day.
Unlike a private house builder , you can’t put the price up to cover your extra cost over runs. |
Not only the management is incompetent but to drop such a bomb on Christmas Eve after a series of blunders, is cruel. PI's will remember the CEO and the CFO in particular as the bad news guys.
Regarding anymore bad news, no logic can predict 2024 is the end and what the next blunder in 2025 will be. This is the big problem now as they became a real nightmare to investors. This is why a new management is a must as all credibility is over. |
Book value at 990p, market cap 2 Billion, NAV of 3.2 Billion. At these levels just load up and wait for the bid |
Had enough yes If the share recovers it will not be due to having a good CEO anyway more luck |
The triumph of hope over experience? |
Just added myself |
I would not have sold here jock but guess you've had enough |
He is out of his depthHe could have used the second profit warning to provide a more conservative profit figure instead of creating a third profit warning Very wet behind the ears |
I’m pretty sure GF will be getting a grilling from II’s, there’s an opportunity here for the brave with a longterm outlook imho 🤔 |
Red finish the next update in January to me will be a bag of nails |
Considering how unsure Greg is on 2025I had sold outHe has somehow managed to drop the share price from 1400 to 520 and to drop a stinker like that on Xmas eve evidences how much he has dropped the ball here Best thing he could do is step down |
Persimmon might pounce with a ten quid take out |
Definitely |
Heavy. Buying now |
Fair bit of volume early doors, could we see a RNS on directors buying today ??? |
I don't have a position but agree that management has lost all credibility. The question is at what level might a predator pounce? Safer after an audit. This is very likely to be in the sights of a competitor. It's more of a gamble than an investment today IMO but gambles can pay out with luck and timing. |
Takeover target now |
If you are at the helm , and your ship hits a rock , that although was not on the map was in a suspicious area and you were not exercising much caution, then you might stay at the helm to get the ship out of trouble. If you then hit another rock you clearly need to be relieved of your command. If you hit a third one whilst saying that you were just unlucky and everything is fine , then you deserve to be thrown overboard. WITHOUT A GOLDEN HANDSHAKE. |
Top companies including mining giants also spent billions buying their own shares at a high in the past. |
Will attract a bid here, just needs PSN. to step up and acquire a huge land bank for a song. |
Whenever a company embarks upon buying in its own shares it is a cast iron bet that it will overpay and squander shareholders' cash.
would be a lot less disgruntled about this latest FU if surplus cash was being distributed to shareholders as dividends, to let them make up their own minds what shares to spend it on buying. I sure as hell would not have spent mine on more Vistry shares.
Thank goodness I had reduced my holding before the first profit warning. More is the pity that I was not more decisive. I should have old the lot. |
A while ago someone on here believed there was nothing hidden anymore since their last update. Today I am convinced the management is a bunch of charlatans who are destroying an excellent company. Who would believe anything they will say from today ? Therefore the ONLY solution left to initiate any trust on what is stated by this company in the future is the mass resignation of management, Tye CEO and CFO should be the first to go as they bear the full responsibility of this total fiasco, |
