Considering how unsure Greg is on 2025I had sold outHe has somehow managed to drop the share price from 1400 to 520 and to drop a stinker like that on Xmas eve evidences how much he has dropped the ball here Best thing he could do is step down |
Persimmon might pounce with a ten quid take out |
Definitely |
Heavy. Buying now |
Fair bit of volume early doors, could we see a RNS on directors buying today ??? |
I don't have a position but agree that management has lost all credibility. The question is at what level might a predator pounce? Safer after an audit. This is very likely to be in the sights of a competitor. It's more of a gamble than an investment today IMO but gambles can pay out with luck and timing. |
Takeover target now |
If you are at the helm , and your ship hits a rock , that although was not on the map was in a suspicious area and you were not exercising much caution, then you might stay at the helm to get the ship out of trouble. If you then hit another rock you clearly need to be relieved of your command. If you hit a third one whilst saying that you were just unlucky and everything is fine , then you deserve to be thrown overboard. WITHOUT A GOLDEN HANDSHAKE. |
Top companies including mining giants also spent billions buying their own shares at a high in the past. |
Will attract a bid here, just needs PSN. to step up and acquire a huge land bank for a song. |
Whenever a company embarks upon buying in its own shares it is a cast iron bet that it will overpay and squander shareholders' cash.
would be a lot less disgruntled about this latest FU if surplus cash was being distributed to shareholders as dividends, to let them make up their own minds what shares to spend it on buying. I sure as hell would not have spent mine on more Vistry shares.
Thank goodness I had reduced my holding before the first profit warning. More is the pity that I was not more decisive. I should have old the lot. |
A while ago someone on here believed there was nothing hidden anymore since their last update. Today I am convinced the management is a bunch of charlatans who are destroying an excellent company. Who would believe anything they will say from today ? Therefore the ONLY solution left to initiate any trust on what is stated by this company in the future is the mass resignation of management, Tye CEO and CFO should be the first to go as they bear the full responsibility of this total fiasco, |
I read somewhere they've got £3.2 Billion of land bank. If that's true then they're asset rich with a market cap under £2 Billion? |
Wasn't everything supposed to have been manageable after the irregularities were exposed??? They were confined to 1 area etc...
Skeletons in the cupboard??? |
Still a profit is forecast and debt is manageable. this is not going bust. Light pre Christmas share trading volume exaggerate moves.
Bought a few more today. |
I did warn about the business model. The share price is now closer to my 500p..

Agree, the FD but at least the CEO should have resigned by now. Regardless who's at fault or what other skeletons may exist, they were in charge. To start restoring confidence, the 1st step must be for them to resign.
I might take a punt < 500p on the hope that the CEO does resign and the company starts to re-build confidence.
sikhthetech - 08 Nov 2024 - 12:13:34 - 1739 of 2055 Vistry Group I've seen this kind of reaction many times...
As per my assertions...Buy backs, NAV, Broker notes, TA, dividends etc wouldn't stop a share from crashing. What matters is company/sector, economic/political newsflow and the direction they are heading.
Didn't Greg sell all his holdings held via Baker Estates? That was your red flag.
I wouldn't touch this atm. I'm still negative on HBs. |
They are now a target for predators |
This is a solid business that the CEO has taken his eye off, there needs to be more compliance and oversight from top brass. With the housing crisis in the country it is in the right place, fortunes are being spent on housing families in hotels, b and b’s, etc and this company can alleviate some of that. So once the heat dies down the valuation will recover, net debt relatively modest so one has to trust management will get a grip. |
GFRD are doing well since GF did the offski! I think management of VTY have got to hold it all together now as any resignations will spook the market further. |
Yeah a good day to bury more bad news from Vistry management.Bought some more but i don't regard this share price as much of a Christmas present to shareholders.Ho ho ho to 1.5m homes being built in five years. |
Was that Rachel Reeves Xmas present? |
In the three months I help3Profit warnings and a drop of 60 percentWell done Greg merry Xmas |
A real kick in the teeth for all LTHS, timing spectacular too !! |
