18/4/2007 14:33 | pbr: Sounds like Del boy has bought up the placing!!! That means this time next year we will all be millllionaires!!!! | tr1
18/4/2007 14:08 | Well the market is allowing anybody to pick some up at 12p now so fill your boots everybody!! | timben
18/4/2007 12:57 | Anyone seen this before? Edit: is his track record any good? | pbracken
18/4/2007 12:50 | Not sure it's correct to say that the institutions didnt want them. It could be that Numis went to Nigel Wray and asked if he wanted any and he said he would take as much as they could give him. This would make Numis' job much easier. | judge jury
18/4/2007 12:47 | You're right - which explains the muted mkt reaction; the institutions didn't seem to want them. I have no position in VTI but do think we are near, or at, a fundamental valuation. | pbracken
18/4/2007 12:40 | I would guess he took a chunk of the placement shares | judge jury
18/4/2007 12:27 | Mr Wray seems happy with things then?? | timben
18/4/2007 11:44 | In a way, the announcements did confirm that the placing is done and dusted. The announcement today said that Nigel Wray owns 15,962,209 shares representing 6.2% of VTI. This can only be the case if there are 257,512,442 shares in issue - i.e. the share capital as enlarged by the placing. Looks like there is no need to worry anymore. | judge jury
18/4/2007 11:09 | Did the announcement yesterday and today cover the placing? | timben
18/4/2007 10:30 | Are you certain that VTI have got the placing away? It wasn't underwritten and the last announcement merely said that the company was very close to securing the funds. As I understand it, VTI would HAVE to announce the placing. Ergo, it hasn't got it away yet. | pbracken
18/4/2007 08:30 | Yes - good news which shows that patience (from both the company and shareholders) will be rewarded at some stage. I am sure HYR will continue to progress over time as it starts to win contracts outside of Australia (NB the US). Now we need VTI to start making similar regular announcements re Aquasolve and radium in the US. Hopefully, patience will be rewarded here too. | judge jury
18/4/2007 08:14 | Hydrodec ,wow two trading updates in 3 days. VTI value now 8p. We need HYR at 48p for VTI holding to be worth 12p. Seems more likely than VTI coming out with good news!! | a3whd
17/4/2007 12:09 | Not sure but the placing was done some time ago. | a3whd
17/4/2007 11:45 | Do they have to announce that they have placed the shares? | timben
17/4/2007 09:01 | I agree ... very limited downside, as long as they dont run out of cash (which they say they wont). I do expect HYR to start moving in the right direction which will be a bonus for VTI, but they do need to start delivering on their core business too. | judge jury
17/4/2007 08:57 | Thanks thats great. At least we can see a bottom for VTI of 12p with hopefully either Hydrodec continuing upwards or some positive news from VTI. | a3whd
17/4/2007 08:52 | A3WHD - Thanks, that's good to know. In answer to your query, I calculate the value of VTI's stake in HYR and GHF as follows: No of HYR shares held by VTI: 60m (source: scheme document, 19 June 2006) Value of HYR stake at 25.5p: £15.3m No of GHF shares held by VTI: 30m (source: RNS re sale of technologies, 29 June 2006) Value fo GHF stake at 13.25p: £4.0m Total value of HYR and GHF: £19.3m No of VTI shares post placing: 257.5m, Value of stakes per share: 7.5p Hope this makes sense | judge jury
17/4/2007 08:44 | My Broker spoke to NUMIS today who confirmed that the placing has been done & dusted raising £2.1 million. | a3whd
16/4/2007 20:32 | Hi Judge Jury thanks for that. By my calculations VTI 2 holdings are worth approx 7.75p per share. Is this correct. Bill | a3whd
16/4/2007 17:25 | Extract from the account as ericeb206 suggests: 1. HydroDec Group plc the Group owns approximately 34% of the equity of HydroDec, with current market value of $36 million; and 2. The Greenhouse Fund Limited the Group owns approximately 19.9% of the equity of Greenhouse, with a current market value of $11 million | judge jury
16/4/2007 17:23 | Apologies it is infact 34%. See VTI final results. | ericeb206
16/4/2007 17:19 | 28% of the company | ericeb206
16/4/2007 17:08 | Hi can anyone remember how many Hydrodec Virotec own? | a3whd
16/4/2007 15:55 | Still dont know what's going on with the placing ... perhaps it's a storm in a tea cup. However, HYR have just delivered a decent trading update | judge jury
14/4/2007 09:58 | So 8.30 Monday is the deadline......will they make it? | timben |
