Metrash-2, a services platform developed by Vipera, star product at Milipol 2012 in Qatar.

Qatar's Ministry of Interior services platform, developed by Vipera, showcased at Milipol exhibition of internal state security.

Milipol 2012, the international exhibition of internal state security, held in Qatar this past October proved once again to be a great success. Celebrated for the ninth time, the show has a growing profile; this year more countries and companies participated than ever before to showcase some of the most advance technologies relating to crime prevention and information retrieval amongst others.

The exhibition's star product was Metrash-2, an application developed by Vipera and based on the company's own technology which enables the residents of Qatar to access Ministry of Interior services relating to a wide variety of matters ranging from residence permits to parking tickets.
Furthermore, Metrash-2 is not only helping the Ministry offer more streamline services but is also a key component in their objective of becoming a paperless body of government.

Speaking to the media that attended the opening ceremony, Ministry of Interior Information Systems Department assistant director Colonel Abdulrahman Ali al-Malki described Metrash-2 as a tool "to save maximum time and effort" and encouraged residents to apply for a smart identity card, the only necessary step to access the services platform.
