It was a lucky escape.....but it has still made me feel quite sick.

Three things come to mind:

Is ENEO playing hard ball to get the price down?

and

What state is VOG's finances in, can they survive?

and

Is the government or a another third party playing games to get a couple of hundred million dollars of assets on the cheap?

The only other thing that I would say is that if VOG goes down, others will think twice about investing in Cameroon, so hopefully a quick solution will be found.

Bright side for those not invested is that this could be one hell of a recovery stock in 12-18 months time.

(Looks like the gas consumption targets might be missed though).

Basically the Government needs to pay its bills or Cameroon has no Electricity.

Yes this a big negative to the share price short term - I would say that this would be sorted within the month of January - the government making and guaranteeing future payments in the face of impending power cuts.
Good trading position to be had after initial drop on Monday.

"ENEO has informed Gaz du Cameroun S.A. ("GDC") that it is not currently in a position to extend the gas supply agreement and has ceased taking gas from GDC. ENEO is actively discussing potential solutions to this situation with the Government of Cameroon and the Power Regulator in Cameroon. VOG believes this is a temporary issue and expects a resolution in the short to medium term."

Friday RNS on the close is the worst thing foo could have done.
A big drop after auction,so you are 20% down before the market opens on Monday.
Then the drop will start all over again. Better to take the one big hit, IMO.

i really feel sorry for holders here. Well not all, the usual few will still be ramping this come the massive drop that will happen on Monday.
Anyway i am sure fatty will try and say i still held. lol.

Two biggish sales after hours at 44 and 39 lucky for them
