Probably not a sophisticated analysis of this share but I'll have a go - This cycle of high inflation, crazy mortgage rates and Banks , Energy companies, supermarkets and the like ,being allowed to rip us all off will come to an end . Then the like of VCP and other suppliers in the Housing sector will flourish when the government and house builders get together to build all the millions of homes that are required

This morning, Victoria confirmed its FY23 results, to be announced 15 August, are in line with market expectations, and trading for the June quarter was also solid, with stable demand, improving margins, and integration projects on track.

James Halstead also announced this morning that their expectations for the full year ending remain unchanged and they are seeing similar market conditions to Victoria.

It’s good to know that sophisticated investors who have undertaken very detailed analysis, like Koch, Orbis, Spruce House, Vulcan and, most recently, Morgan Stanley, have clearly concluded that the shares are increasingly valuable.

Previous post gives an inclination. If not register for the Investor Meet Company and ask the question. I can give you the details of the Webinar,if you so wish. They answered a couple of my questions last year

Q1 Trading UpdateVictoria PLC (LSE: VCP), the international designer, manufacturer and distributor of innovative flooring, confirms that Q1 trading was in line with the Board's forecast and consistent with consensus expectations for FY24. Demand remains generally stable across the Group's markets and margins are improving in line with a fall in input costs. The Company's integration projects remain on schedule.

Are you sure that HEAD's falling residential sales are their own fault and not indicative of the trend?

Take a look at the report in the link above. I think it might be based on credit card transactions (you need to click on the link in the appendix).

I'm not sure but I think that carpets might come under furniture, rightly or wrongly. If so that would suggest that HEAD's experience is market wide.

As for the price, I don't make predictions but I remain convinced at the moment that the shares are fundamentally worthless.

I don't expect a straight line, but, once £7 becomes the base (and support), there ain't much chart resistance to way past £8. ;-)

And now I see that Morgan Stanley have confirmed they have bought 5% of VCP.

It’s very positive to have such high quality investors interested in VCP.

VCP’s recent share price increase is underpinned by recent solid macro economic improvements, which is no doubt why the shorts are bailing out now, and why the price is likely to continue recovering.

Falling UK inflation, confirmed yesterday, has led to a devaluation of the pound, which increases Victoria’s earnings (75% of the company’s profits are made in euros and dollars).

Falling inflation in both the UK and the US, will result in interest rate decreases, which will increase consumer discretionary spending.

Falling energy and raw material prices from last year will improve margins.

So, in summary, the outlook is for higher revenue, higher margins, and higher earnings.

It looks like more of the shorts have an inkling of what Victoria’s financial results are going to say and are following Coltrane’s example and getting out of their position ahead of time before they lose even more money.
