5% isn't big enough to control, They are just looking for a profit as they did with Lookers IMO. I don't think the OEM's like Constilation either. It'll be one of the others. 108p or above with a bit of luck.

Not sure about that, the record date change was 30 October, the company was straight onto it, any company secretarial dept will have a warning system if any companies house records are subject to change

Hard to see a motivation other than a hacker having some "fun" or demonstrating the vulnerabilities.Or perhaps an unhappy ex- employee.

New car registrations in the UK for the month of October totalled 153,529. October 2022 was 134,344. Another large % uplift year on year, mostly driven by Fleet market registrations.

Interesting- I've never heard of this happening before.
A search under 'companies house records manipulation' doesn't have any hits.

This is the bit VTU shareholders are interested in: 'Boss of deal making accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young, David Kendrick, told Car Dealer: 'This is interesting. To some extent it doesn't surprise me as the valuation was getting to what I would class as a full-up value based on other market compatibles. 'It looks like Lithia will be successful in the purchase as predicted some weeks back. 'The question now is whether AutoNation turn their attention to Vertu which looks extremely good value still with some great assets in the portfolio.'

Autonation have withdrawn from the chase for Pendragon. Let's see what happens here. Did they look at Vertu? Interesting weeks ahead. With all the press comment raising the potential takeover of Vertu this could go either way.
