02/1/2018 15:04 | If SG is right and we're due 3 Nanene announcements and 3 ink announcements, we'll be well north of 100p IMO, maybe nearer 200p... | club sandwich
02/1/2018 14:59 | John Henry, re your post No. 16545 and "As far as percentage gainers for 2018 it certainly wont be VRS", clearly that is fair enough on the basis of technical analysis, but wouldn't you agree that if the wave of announcements Neil Ricketts has intimated are on their way actually come through the share price here might not take wings? | freddievas
02/1/2018 14:35 | super, I have no doubt the sky is blue here - just a matter of time. Have done what research I can through Google and other some sources but worth saying that your research posted here has proven invaluable. Thanks :-) | tini5
02/1/2018 14:32 | tini5 As the CEO will say the market does not know wha he knows, so I back what he knows whatever that may be. We'll see how busy the volume and BB is WHEN the next big deal is done which is close. As he also says by the time it's news for us it's 6 months behind for them. DOW, Unilever and IAI was more or less nailed on months before the market knew and look what happened to the share price I'd be surprised if we don't see £1 plus pre the end of Q1 but if I go by volumes prior and interest then it should go through that this month if the potential news stacked up rolls out. First 3 Nanene and I expect similar re the ink. DYOR | superg1
02/1/2018 14:19 | All I see is cheap shares. | tini5
02/1/2018 14:16 | Technically the recent intra day lows of 54.5p will be tested failing that 47.5p 50 EMA. Imho Peeps are realigning their 2018 portfolio. Cutting a few winners and placing positions in more potential multi baggers. | john henry
02/1/2018 14:09 | TERN That's the difference between just randomly selecting a share for a fun punt than finding one that you think is worth an investment and may do well. A quick scan of the list on the 100% thread (ignoring VRS) and using LSE popped up Oct, Watr, PTSG, Wey and Tech. Then a quick flip look at each left me pondering between Tech and water. Tech is software so no way to track it and potential others. So as a pure punt with limited info (ignoring VRS) I think Watr may do well. I'd never heard of it prior to then. No one anywhere seems to have picked one I like re it's prospects and potential business growth with some blue sky potential. Spotted them years ago and just left them alone but caught my attention recently which suggests the potential is starting to create interest. I need to research them and the team. | superg1
02/1/2018 14:02 | OT My picks for 2018 are WSG closed 2017 MID @ 24p HMI @ 15p MATD @ 13p As far as percentage gainers for 2018 it certainly wont be VRS IMHO | john henry
02/1/2018 13:32 | As far as that competition is concerned my choice for winning it could be TERN. It has the possibility of going from almost nothing to a huge figure but I'm still not 100% certain of the BoD. Up to now they seem to have played down their holding in Device Authority which has mega possibilities. Since December though I sense a new attitude from them so I hope for all shareholders that 2018 is a good year. I chose VRS for the competition because whilst it may not go up as many percentage points as others it is the safest bet I know of on the whole of LSE and I do expect it to reach 100% in a matter of months. It is by far my biggest holding and I'm presently up over 200%, so a very Happy New Year to you and Neill and the VRS team. | sandbag
02/1/2018 13:30 | "I'll be glad just to beat the monkey with a pin" is that a euphemism? ;-) | club sandwich
02/1/2018 13:27 | I'll be glad just to beat the monkey with a pin!!! | ramellous
02/1/2018 13:09 | Sand A quick question. When VRS doubles within months are you going to pick another ;-) | superg1
02/1/2018 12:57 | Thanks Nice and easy ticker to remember. I see Nick is still backing FUM. I'm sure I used to chat to him some time back must look him up. | superg1
02/1/2018 12:43 | Sg1 100% Edit: I chose VRS (Post 19) but gave you due credit for your excellent work. | sandbag
02/1/2018 12:31 | What's the ticker for the thread on that one. | superg1
02/1/2018 12:28 | In contrast look at how well the shares referred to in the thread 'Shares to double in 2018' set up by mudbath have done 85% of them are up and some substantially. VRS was included and while I did have a look decided it might come cheaper | hybrasil
02/1/2018 11:52 | VRS 68, AGM 0, Hayd 1, Directa 2 (including Redchef) And on the new year open the stock comp is a sea of red with only about 6% in profit. | superg1
02/1/2018 11:49 | Important to remember that the last time it walked/was walked down jh that a larger order was filled over the 60p mark, may be more of the same and as you point out charts are only indicative so we need to look at the bigger picture. In lieu of festarios post I would say big order. | luckyorange
02/1/2018 11:46 | 68 !!!!!!!!!!! I was expecting about 5 - 10. I see there are 515 entries. Glad I spotted it as it's a good site to see what other shares are doing and learn about companies. | superg1
02/1/2018 10:51 | VRS is the most chosen co. in this year's Stock Challenge with 68 having chosen it. | llwyd
02/1/2018 10:41 | I don't know if Directa have improved things since re their tyres and they did have a return of £800k worth of goods (as per news). Here is a negative review by someone that tried the tyres. To me it sounds like a typical graphite product used which would cause such failure. The new technology is vastly overhyped... by BPRichards, 21 October 2016, 27 out of 34 people found this review helpful These vogue tyres were the bee's knees, everyone had them on. I didn't mind stumping up the £50 a tyre (more than I've spent on car tyres) for the assurance of smooth, puncture free mileage. The problem is, is that the tyres after less than 900km are literally falling to bits. The graphene has proved very flawed in preventing punctures in the untimely twilight of their use and I am not the only one in my group who has suffered. A friend of mine has had a catastrophic blow out due to the tyre. | superg1
02/1/2018 10:37 | Directa The tyre side of things just says it contains G+ it doesn't say which one. EG Basic G+ Super-expanded, accordion-like, graphitic products, derived from natural intercalated graphite. So that definitely isn't graphene. Ultra G+ Under that type of name it sounds good BUT. "Ultra G+ powders consist of graphene structures with lateral dimensions of few tens of micrometres and a thickness of tens of nanometres." See how they have played with words to get graphene in. Thickness of tens of nanometres = 30 layers per 10 nm. They use the plural so that stuff is probably 50-100 layers or more and junk in graphene terms. 4 of 5 of the next products are simply graphite/graphene mixed into the desired end use, IE a master batch or supplied in water. The best they seem to do is called Pure G+ that is described as "thickness of a few nanometres." In the presentation it said 9-18 layers so few in nm would then equal 3-6 nm. So from what I can see from their own limited data is that nothing they produce qualifies as graphene. I have made enquiries for further data and will let you know if I get a reply. The best way to deal with the Aim as whole and graphene producers is a line a friend uses regularly. "Why spoil a good story with the truth" | superg1
02/1/2018 10:25 | It's important to note though, that only tiny volume of share sales is being used to dramatically drop the price. They market makers will take large amounts from me, and it never goes to indicative.I see this as encouraging, and I expect them to move the offer back up when they realise they aren't scaring up enough shares. | festario |
