Just remember that by investing in VRS you will ensure that Neil RIcketts will never go hungry or for the want of a new Aston Martin. What better charity to donate to than that :-)

MavFav is SuperG in disguise.

It could easily be and I have a few reasons for that...

The B@stard - Mav or Mad Cow, said ... "Other stocks I hold are ticking along fine "

But has only posted about VRS, meaning the B@astard has many NICKNAMES, but uses this one for VRS.

The other reason once settles with the nickname, uses a new one to support on other threads 2 years later.

nanotech asphalt.

National Highways to trial nanotech asphalt
09 SEP 2021 BY LEM BINGLEY

National Highways is to begin trials of asphalt incorporating graphene, to learn if adding the high-strength nanomaterial might help make road surfaces more durable.

Graphene is a form of carbon in which individual atoms are arranged in flat sheets, each firmly linked to its neighbours by molecular bonds in a regular hexagonal pattern. The nanotech material has an extremely high tensile strength, around 100 times higher than steel at the same scale.

The first live trial of the graphene additive will be carried out on the A1 in Northumberland. The new surface will be laid on three miles of the northbound carriageway, between Newton on the Moor and West Cawledge, between 19 September and 1 November this year.

National Highways asset needs manager Graeme Watt said: “Laboratory trials have been a success and the onsite trials in Northumberland will be a world-first use of graphene in road production.” He added that the innovation “could make some of our assets last significantly longer” and that this outcome would help “to push the industry towards more carbon-friendly maintenance, with longer-lasting solutions”.

The A1 trial is being carried out in partnership with the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) at the University of Manchester and specialist surveying firm Pavement Testing Services (PTS).

The trial will assess if graphene can delay the formation of cracks in the road surface, which appear as the asphalt becomes brittle over time due to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. National Highways said it hopes adding graphene into the surfacing mix “will make the asphalt stronger and less likely to be affected by sunlight”.

PTS director Peter Wallace said: “Lab results from initial mix designs have all shown an increase in stiffness where graphene has been included.”

In May this year, concrete strengthened with graphene was employed commercially for the first time, poured to form 730 square metres of floor slab for a new gym building in Amesbury, Wiltshire. According to GEIC, which worked on the project in a joint venture with contractor Nationwide Engineering, use of the composite Concretene material cut the volume of concrete required by 30 per cent and also removed the need for steel reinforcement.

GEIC said the material yielded “comparable or improved performance” compared to standard concrete, with savings “both in carbon footprint and in cost”.

The Skanska / Costain / Strabag (SCS) joint venture is also trialling graphene-strengthened 3D-printed concrete on HS2.

I don't consider that irony just responding to his comments. Again I don't want to, nor do I have any interest in making them worse but I won't walk away from telling him he's wrong.I know nooothing

"Seriously I don’t want to pick on you due to your mental health issues."

Do they have an irony section in the Mensa tests?

You did they basically said it wasn't Graphene but bulk graphite probably. What did come out of there was something really really important and we are doing that now. They said companies are seeing the benefit and want to get involved. If you look at what we have done and are doing this should see us well placed.Re concrete once companies see the figures and see that they are independently tested by recognised leaders in that field they think well I need to get involved in that When they see Uni of Glos doing testing on textiles against leading brands that will hopefully demonstrate a significant difference eg 6% or more can be huge Now back that with data, back it with recognised and repeatable scientific methodology as well and that adds value Then can you imagine if you took their textiles and used our tech on top and demonstrated the effects of that too How about if you have your masks tested against global recognised standards or GNA-22 and GNA-24 by a leading organisation in Ankara. Again the data demonstrates the benefit. If you didn't tell people how but just told them and demonstrated via scientific fact and independently tested etc that there product is 20% better using a VRS "technique/material", you know they aren't going to want to pass that by. They may want exclusivity which is a problem but that might just be a short period to get stuff to market etc and give them some space to market it I know nooothing

That sounds a win win if it delivers what the lab work has demonstrated. It will be greener as all done on site and I'm sure will be measured against newly relaid asphalt to compare and contrast. Those figures will already be in place so after a week, a month, a quarter etc they will have some good data

For clarity.

National Highways is not using Gipave in Northumberland. It is adding ‘raw’ graphene directly to a recycled asphalt mix on site in a single pass operation at the time of recycling to improve the end product of the recycled material.
