Don't be so ridiculous it takes 5 minutes to Google the eligibility of a these loans.

This has nothing to do with siding with detractors. If you really were genuine Versarien investors you'd want to discuss facts and not just make stupid acusations.

If anyone is siding with detractors it's you by stating Versarien can't raise £5m in equity. Ridiculous.

Raising £5m when market cap is 75m would be the same as investors buying one share for every 15 owned. I don't think most real investors here who support Versarien would have a problem with that if asked to do so and given a full and proper explanation why.

Many firms yet to bring a product to market have raised in recent weeks. AFC just raised £30m from a £90m market cap.

As I've said getting the HMG loan is great for shareholders but let's not kid ourselves the criteria clearly says it's only available if equity or bank funding is not possible.

Therefore it can only be that an exception has been made here and that can only be because HMG see Versarien as a special case.

If you are so happy Pentecost why do make such aggressive statements. You say my assertion was stupid yet, with China in full flow and looking imminent, VRS could only manage a 40p purchase price from Lanstead with a 53.5p sharing strike price! Whereas, the China £1 plus 15% investment rising in value across the 3 tranches, but under the Chinese thumb, would have given the BoD the level of capital investment they needed to take the company forward. To think going to the market for the £5m as you suggest would be a walk in the Park, if they quoted the value of their IPR as collateral, without the well trailed China deal in the bag, or a big order to back them up, quite frankly, would have been derided. HMG fully understood this and stepped in with the innovate loan In the interests of VRS and the Country.

This has shot the shorters fox and they don’t like it.

luckykids I'll post what I like here and won't be bullied by idiots like you. I've posted my genuine thoughts. I've said I expected more from China and was disappointed with the failure to attract equity investment. Idiots like you who try to pretend that doesn't matter are obviously not genuine.

As a shareholder I'm very glad we avoided dilution and happy HMG are willing to break their own rules to support Versarien. Let's not try to pretend that the rules aren't clear though. They are.

Do Verditek say who's graphene they are using in their thin, flexible, high performance solar panels?

Via Woodys link, the below page is describing road signs made from graphene. It may or may not have anything to do with VRS, but the point is that it is yet another unexpected application of graphene with a global market. * This way, the amount of (aluminium) material needed and the manufacturing time can be reduced, resulting in the optimised production of the signs.*hTTps://www.graphenanocomposites.com/en/senales-nanotec/

The graphene in the Valencia canopy is from Graphenano.

This loan thing is a storm in a teacup. Versarien has an £75m market capitalisation. The idea it can't raise £5m in equity markets is ridiculously.

Riducule's comments that it would have to take place at bucket shop prices is totally stupid. The current IP, we know about, is worth billions. In any case the rule doesn't say eligibility depends on not being able to raise equity at what shareholders consider to be fair value. It is not being able to raise equity full stop.

HMG have obviously broken their own rules to enable Neill and the team to make progress without China. HMG obviously think Versarien's graphene solution is better than all the other European solutions out there which is why they are willing to offer this company tax payer support over other companies in the EU eg Directa+. On the face of it this is breaking EU competition rules still in effect until end of 2020. This is obviously a very big deal and shows huge commitment.

As a UK tax payer I'd have preferred if the investment was a convertible or even straight equity so that the UK could share in the eventual massive upside. As a large shareholder I'm glad we avoided dilution at the tax payers expense.

Hello vice,

Thank you for the link.

I thought this link from that site was interesting on the logistics

headquarters building in Valencia. It says specifically graphene :

'The matrix was doped with graphene to enhance its flexural modulus and tensile strength properties, while reducing the overall weight of structures.'

I have sent them an email with some pertinent questions.

I agree Cotswold and thank you for pointing us at tha direct linkage of Elastomers to O&G down hole drilling. I do not think I was denying that, but I was pointing out the wider applications with MAS activities and tyres.

Great post ridicule. I think that summary of events is pretty spot on. VRS can still do what it wants through BVT in China but with better protection of IP and without the need to share through the JV. It gives VRS far more control with what it wants to do in China. I think we will shorty see a number of deals done through BVT, once the JV is wholly owned by VRS again. Winsun will probably be first!

Acronym covers the big 5 - the 'E' refers to O&G, e.g.

It seems somehow presumptuous to use the acronym if there is no extra layer of business linkage to the 3D Printing company Scaled in all these endeavours.Given this premise, although complete conjecture, leads to the corollary conclusion that tyres and clothing are not being herein referenced.Leisure and Elastomers are all-encompassing terms, which one could say describes accurately aero-industry sector amongst many others yet to be devised.I also note that the Innovate funding is generally granted for a specific project - not a multi-pronged attack on general expansion.
