Shavian: However IC's conclusion isn't too bad: 'Versarien is well established in the UK and Europe, while it is establishing partnerships with businesses and public bodies in China at a phenomenal rate. Use is being found for graphene, a tough and incredibly light material, in a rapidly growing range of products, spanning batteries to running shoes. There seems to be a huge market opportunity here, and therefore it is a shame that Versarien has had its grand US entry tainted in this way. Hold.'

see my post 65816 03 Apr 2019 - 19:50:02.
..." first a pull-back to 110p before a whip lash return upwards" - vindicated today.

Actually I am surprised.

It's interesting that the Fibonacci retracemnt theory worked on this occasion
Again it worked with post 64502 on March22 post 64502 - predicting the breakout from a prolonged decline.

As I posted then "the spook stuff works more often than predictable to random chance.

If it works again someone will suggest I be burned at the stake.

Have a good weekend all -let tha good times return and roll.

Is it unrealistic to believe that a little Gloucestershire company can ever become a global giant?

Go to the website of most large companies and look at their History page. They all started somewhere.

- In the 1870s in Holland, a family firm of butter merchants became interested in an alternative product that became known as margarine. In the mid-1880s in northern England, family grocer William Lever developed a new kind of soap. Both companies expanded into areas that overlapped, and in 1929 became Unilever. It now owns 400 brands of household products with annual turnover in excess of $63bn.

- In 1886, pharmacist John Pemberton from Columbus, Georgia invented a drink that he sold as a medicinal beverage. He promoted the drink the best he could with the limited budget that he had and succeeded. It was called Coca Cola. Annual turnover now exceeds $35bn.

To quote a lyric from 'Happy Talk' (South Pacific musical)

You gotta have a dream
if you don't have a dream
How you gonna have a dream come true?

Heading back to test 130p very long and stubborn resistance, once it goes, for sure a rally to 180p is the short term target

A very comforting end to a roller-coaster of a week.

Investors Chronic had a snide pop at VRS for the Patrick news just now:

'Just two weeks after announcing the appointment of Patrick Abbott as vice president of its nascent North American operation, graphene specialist Versarien (VRS) has confirmed that the State of Texas is bringing criminal proceedings against the former US Marine Corps officer. Versarien's shares fell as much as 8 per cent in morning trading following the announcement.'

... and bounced back by a similar amount this afternoon! A pity these people never make the point that a person is innocent until proved otherwise, but then bad news always sells more papers.

I look forward to being able to stick two metaphorical fingers up to the lot of 'em - next week perhaps??

Do think this will get UK plc out of a big hole as too reliant on the CITY and hence why we have DTI interest!!!

If those shorters who've been losing on this stock see no hope of winning and want to register their loss in this tax year, they have only minutes left in which to close positions.. (are they among the ones now buying?)
