Couldn’t agree more super, not to mention aerospace, where we have become a massive player.

£400m valuation is not unreasonable given the potential here. I remember QFI reaching that market cap and VRS is a different animal.

Morning Graham, (Superg1)

I think many PI's will welcome the news with you leaving ADVFN,

The VRS forum might become a place where investors can have a balanced discussion, where they can discuss their concerns and talk about the risks / rewards that Versarien offers.

I'll lay a bet.

TW and co and some point in the future will be shareholders in VRS and then going on about how they called it wrong.

The opportunities ahead are absolutely massive, they are not pie in the sky. Not only are they real but some are tangibly close.

Can you even begin to imagine the size of a contract connected to graphene or Hexotene in connection with Chinese national rail projects.

It's all there in news.

Aecom calling the project a game changer.

Dozens of huge companies with a host of projects in mind.

Nano that went on Qdots in TVS. Funnily enough back then I said Oleds were already in play which would go past that. On a visit re a TV the other day I was guided was by staff from Samsung Qdot TVs to Oleds, they said they are better.

Nano was around in a boom time and investors piled in taking it to over a £400 mill market cap.

The VRS prospects are immeasurable multiples of what Nano could ever hope to achieve in terms of market opportunities.

"We are making significant progress in developing our relationships in China, both with government bodies and industry. Our discussions in Jinan regarding establishing the "China-UK Jinan Graphene Industrial Park" continue to make good progress and I am pleased that we have signed another agreement in Shandong Province to progress our Chinese plans.

As I stated in our annual results published in July 2018, the announcement of the LOI in Jian led to significant interest from other parties in China

Feb 2019 same topic

the Company also seeks to enter into or create one or more joint ventures arrangements with those partners incorporating a local manufacturing plant. A licence over the Company's technology will be granted to each joint venture in conjunction with strategic investment by the partner.

So you have those others sectors a set not linked to a particular company or province.

However I've no idea what but Roberto suggested a product may be launched by Gnanomat this year. He said Gnanomat engagements with companies had gone from 2 to 5 since teaming up with VRS. There has been news about VRS and Chinese related battery interest

This bit

The incorporation of graphene into concrete, anti-corrosion coatings, 3D printing of concrete and certain rail projects.

Can be linked to this news

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Co Ltd. ("CTCE"), a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited ("CRG").

CRG is one of the world's largest construction and engineering contractors and is listed on the Shanghai and Hong Kong Stock Exchanges. CTCE is specifically focused on railway, bridge, tunnel and highway infrastructure engineering and has over 23,000 employees. It is active in China and overseas, including in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Anticorrosive and fireproof coatings for the protection of engineering structures;

· Heat conductive and heating materials for the temperature control of structures;

· Sensors for the mechanical monitoring of engineering structures;

· Special engineering plastics;

· Special engineering rubber; and

· Asphalt for road asphalt mixtures.

Subject to the satisfactory completion of negotiations it is envisaged that CTCE will provide funding for any manufacturing venture in a structure to be agreed.

Then you have the huge construction firm for the rest

re China

Note the news

"Since entering into these relationships in the later part of last year the rate of progress has been impressive and we are now at the stage where we have defined work programmes with a number of the partners.

In that news (4th Feb) they out a list of things going on.

EG

The development and manufacture of new generation graphene heaters using graphene inks.

Weeks later Tunghsu news

The LOI details the parties desire to work together to develop and manufacture in China new generation graphene heaters based on the micro-flow graphene ink technology from Versarien's subsidiary Cambridge Graphene Limited. The LOI additionally details the party's intention to jointly develop other products utilising a variety of Versarien's 2d materials, including graphene-enhanced sports equipment and smart wearable devices.

Back to the China update news

The development of graphene-enhanced winter sports equipment, specifically targeted at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, to be held in Beijing.
· The development of graphene-enhanced smart wearable devices, including sensors and smart earphones.

So that is Tunghsu.

So who is this part which is in the same news

Thermally conductive materials - specifically the application of heat transfer functionalisation of synthetic materials.

The incorporation of the Company's subsidiary, Gnanomat S.L.'s, proprietary nanomaterials into supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries.

The incorporation of graphene into concrete, anti-corrosion coatings, 3D printing of concrete and certain rail projects.

The incorporation of graphene in solar energy, photovoltaic cells and smart buildings.

BTW

It is my genuine belief (with good reason) that VRS has a very good chance of making quite a few PIs multi-millionaires.

You know what the herd are like, they stampeded in and out generally without a clue what they are investing in.

I used to think the herd had no logic and got so frustrated over it. Over the years I have got to know 100's of investors and only a minority of them seem to have their heads screwed on, checking facts and making sound investment decisions.

To me and then it's a logical process, so watching headless chickens just making up fiction in their own mind and acting on it is beyond belief.

It's the minority that are illogical as surely logic is for the majority.

Add on that it's said 80% plus of investors lose money.

The minority illogical guys I know seem to do very well with their investments.

The long term plan for me (and others) post VRS, is to abandon such sites like ADVFN (many of them did long ago) and share knowledge hidden form view.

You know my level of digging by now. Just watch what happens in the coming weeks and months.

Some should make sure they are sitting down when reading news over the next few months.

All that has changed recently is that I don't post what I find.

You seem to have a habit of letting your fingers type without thinking or perhaps you haven't listened to VRS and read what has been said.

I know you have not been to any event, investor presentation or AGM, there have been a few now and I've been to them all.

Quite simply as stated by VRS Jinan was the first contact and if the deal wasn't as VRS liked then they would not go ahead, but it's not that case.

VRS have received a number of other better offers and are going through the process of what is the best option for the company and shareholders.

I understand they already had enquires by others before they left China on that visit and as we all know 1 turned into 35 plus very quickly

Target market/business of interest (and vice versa)
 10 point criteria analysis test for sifting – scored and
then prioritise top 3 companies for discussions (to JV)
 Still keep a ‘watching brief’ and dialogue with other
companies
 Example: Tungshu (China) – dialogue, testing, JV

So VRS won't do an AIM lifestyle company type trick and sign anything to get the share price up with hype.

This is all about building a large company that provides jobs and income for the UK. The gov want that, the DIT want that. It has always been the goal of the UK gov to be a leader in graphene and they see VRS as a way to get there.

I am afraid trade deals are not going to come into play for a decade and even then heavily restricted due to close links with EU under Mrs Mays non Brexit treaty.

FWIW

The recent share price chart suddenly spiked down to a 67.5p low on Feb 28th and has since fitfully recovered to 97p, but noone seems to have noticed or at least remarked on the chart break out late afternoon yesterday, when a side tracking share price crossed the downward trend which began at 135p on Monday Feb 4.

So what the sceptics will say.

Don't be surprised to see the recovery continue - although most PIs will ascribe it to AECOM expectations, yesterday's great US news and what emerges from today's promised podcast. The spookstuff works more often than predictable to random chance.

Festario - might brexit not have some bearing on UK/China trade deals?
If VRS is going to produce significant financial inflow from China to the uk economy in a post brexit world the news of it could be material in itself. Who knows what veiled Machiavellian dealings frustrate our expectations.

Take care with my posts I was merely reacting to the news and then adding in the premise we all seem to agree that nanene is best produced close to its application to things. So if the US likes the findings of research etc it would make the stuff , or , better, we would.

Alchemy,
From your post 64486:
"Really good news today.
Nanene can be produced in US and sold for dollars ."

From the RNS:
"The Company is additionally in the process of establishing a new office, laboratory facility and applications centre in Houston, Texas that will act as a hub for the Company's activities in North America."

Am I missing something or are you reading something which isn't there?

SuperG, as Lovat Scout alluded to here a couple of months ago, I believe that the majority of serious buying or selling happens off market.Do you remember the infamous day when I accidentally sold the entire amount in my trading account? over 600,000 shares?Well, it never showed up as a reported sell, nor did it report the next morning when I hurriedly bought them back.
