adejuk. yep. money talks - and it was never needed to be louder than with VRS right now. absolutely *ridiculous* the number of collabs/talks/potential they're involved in versus the revenue generated.

"we can be fairly certain the 200kg order from Aecom should be here within the next few weeks. That should give the share price a boost"

why? it's already known about, already priced in.

I think we need to be patient, we can be fairly certain the 200kg order from Aecom should be here within the next few weeks. That should give the share price a boost, and if it doesn't it's because funds are still selling which means they're that much closer to having none left. And if that happens, any one of the numerous RNSs we're expecting in 2019 should make the share price fly

ashehzi....but no Versarien. Why (if we are there at all) do we have to be just lumped in with UoM? Other advanced materials companies have their names out front.

Surging R&D spending in China narrows gap with United States

By Dennis NormileOct. 10, 2018 , 12:45 PM

China’s total spending on R&D rose a robust 12.3% last year to a record 1.76 trillion yuan ($254 billion), according to a government report released yesterday. Already second in the world in R&D spending behind the United States, China has narrowed the gap.

Figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) show that in 2012, China spent about 34% as much as the United States, a figure that rose to 44% in 2016, the most recent year for which data are available. In terms of purchasing power parity, however, China’s 2016 spending was equivalent to 88% of U.S. spending.

"The year-to-year growth in R&D spending indicates firm governmental and social support for making China a scientific power," says Xie Xuemei, a specialist in innovation economics at Shanghai University in China. "However, there is still a long way to go" to match the research capabilities of developed countries, she adds.

Whilst I undestand and have some sympathy with where CS and pshevlin are coming from I am more mindful of Warren Buffett who has said, "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient.", which is a quote I believe will work very well with VRS.

Indeed elliss. The best years of my contracting career have been since the financial crash of 2008 - I hoped that companies would increase investment in web sites as a cost-effective route to market, and so it proved...

Woody, many thanks for kindly forwarding a copy of Callum’s email, much obliged. I shall place my order on Amazon so as to lodge my nephew’s no doubt favourable feedback there after he has sent me a thank you letter! Now I shall plug mine back in (likewise using the smallest rubber seals).

I think those waiting for a hard brexit to boost the share price might be disappointed. Finally parliament seems to be taking charge of events and there are quite a few tories who will bring the government down as a last resort rather than contemplate complete chaos.

Pshelvers, i have faith that neill and co are busting a gut on behalf of holders, and i v much appreciate their efforts :) Of course it's all about realising the potential, we all know that. The pace is determined by many factors, not least general trading/investment conditions. In a way, a slow down in revenues generally can stir firms into increasing R&D budgets and investing in new products/tech. Eg Apple and samsung have to innovate now or suffer further mobile phone declines you could argue. We have a first aviation order, aecom order and polygrene launch. We all hope for more repeats as the year unwinds and confidence returns following resolution of trade disputes. Aimo. Best ellis
